Next time when you want to buy make sure you plan for this thing by investing in a fixed income something. It will hedge the exchange rate risk.

Let's say 1$ = NGN 750 Calculate the risk exchange up to $1 = NGN 1000

the difference of NGN 250 use it invest in a fixed income. So of dollar rises you still make money. if it sells the fixed income profit will help you balance the loss in value.
