Importation is legal in Nigeria. Peter Obi does not deal in narcotics but canned food, drinks, etc.

What we should be asking is, "Why do many Nigerians prefer to import instead of produce locally?"

Why is refining crude oil in Nigeria more expensive than importing it?

Finding the sincere answers to the question will help you understand why we are where we are.

As long as importation is not a crime, entrepreneurs are only looking for avenues to make money; running a business isn't about sentiments.

For the solution, we need to formulate the right policies and build infrastructure that will enhance local production. For instance, it's so annoying that Buhari was more interested in borrowing money to build railways to Niger Rep while Nigeria cannot boast of 5kMW of electricity. So, don't blame Obi - blame the system.

I am telling you electricity generation is on exclusive list and no governor would be permitted to generate one. Tinubu tried it during his tenure and he was stopped after expending millions into it.

FG only allow them to repair Federal roads through application before embarking on it for a later refund. Electricity generation is purely under the purview of FG.

Please tell me any state government you have seen generating electricity, they only install transformers to communities.
