It was actually Oshiomole who went looking for trouble. His campaign flag off was meant to be today, Saturday until he heard Peter was coming to town. In a show of braggadocio and chest beating as is common with small people, he wanted to do a popularity test by moving his own rally to yesterday Friday, so as to water down Peter's presence in the state.

Oshiomole however got the shock of his life when Peter came to even his own town unannounced and everyone deserted him. No one even knew he did a campaign flag off yesterday until much later. They have refused to show us the audience at the flag off, but they say a million people were present

Importation is legal in Nigeria. Peter Obi does not deal in narcotics but canned food, drinks, etc.

What we should be asking is, "Why do many Nigerians prefer to import instead of produce locally?"

Why is refining crude oil in Nigeria more expensive than importing it?

Finding the sincere answers to the question will help you understand why we are where we are.

As long as importation is not a crime, entrepreneurs are only looking for avenues to make money; running a business isn't about sentiments.

For the solution, we need to formulate the right policies and build infrastructure that will enhance local production.
