Peter Obi truely owned or owns a business based in the UK that exports UK goods around the world, not just to Nigeria.
Any which way, consumer goods must flow, there is no country that is 100% sufficient with products, some must be imported. In the UK, I also buy Nigerian products. Heck, my paddy brought in 3 containers of malt, Stout and other beverages into the UK recently.
It is not true to say all the products in next stores are all imported. Justrite stores, shoprite, next, ebeano etc have bulk of their products made in Nigeria.
Infact those stores are just retail point for suppliers, who pass their goods through the teller of the shops. The mega shops take their commission and pay the suppliers. That is their business model.
Furthermore, you have hundreds of workers gainfully employed in his next stores. How many people does oshiomole employ?
What about people that have become rich through Obi? First I heard of him was when having drinks with some guys years back when Obi won the governorship race. I asked who he was, and those guys were apparently into clearing and forwarding.
