First of all, America is a very big country in terms of area and landmass, imagine a country that is as big as Nigeria 10 times, that is what America is. And America is one of the most diverse countries in the world, with up to 9 different officially recognized timezones. This means that the sun does not rise and set across the USA at the same time. When some states are in the morning, some will be in the night, etc. So America is more of th continent than a country. So you see why it is difficult for the government to get electricity across all the nooks and crannies of the remotest parts of the country. So don't compare that with Nigeria electricity issue.

Also, these people that are being connected to America electricity grid for the first time will henceforth have more regular power supply than anywhere in Nigeria.
