Famous Nigerian activist and social critic, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to Governor Charles Soludo’s attack on the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, saying the political class thinks they own Nigeria.

Yesufu also said the citizens must take hold of the power that belongs to them.

Recall that Governor Soludo had attacked Obi in a lengthy essay on Monday, claiming that he would not win the presidential election.

While throwing shade at Obi’s claim of making huge savings for Anambra State during his tenure, Soludo also said that governments exist to save lives and not to save money.

But taking to her verified Twitter handle in a series of tweets, Yesufu said the nonsense must stop.

“The political class think they own Nigeria. Their arrogance is out of this world. Even during elections, they do not hide their disdain for the citizens.

“The nonsense must stop. Citizens must take hold of the power that belongs to the people.

“Suddenly, Charles Soludo @CCSoludo has forgotten that he had to leave PDP to win the gubernatorial election in Anambra State. Power is sweet!

“You didn’t ask your friends in PDP why they didn’t think power should go to the South?”

Tinubu endorsed & packaged Buhari for us, not because he saw Buhari as a good leader but because he expected Buhari & the ruling party to in turn support his selfish emilokan ambition.

Nigerians &not polithiefcians, will decide the outcome of 2023.

Soludo should zuo ike. His response is ridiculous. He thinks APGA is a better platform than Labour Party for Peter Obi.

Talking about mob mentality. Soludo is oblivious of his own mob mentality on social media when he was contesting. More than 90% of people that supported Soludo are supporting Peter Obi.

Anyone who thinks Peter Obi's candidacy is an Igbo project is obviously not in touch with reality.

What would be Soludo's gain by coming after Obi? It is not that APGA would will even win in Anambra state.

I was expecting 90% of people from SE to rally round PO after the long awaited time for Igbo to be president but getting disappointed in the way they are going against their own.

If they miss this opportunity, I dont think there will be chance again for them in the next 20 years. Most Nigerians regardless their tribe wants Obi now for change

Soludo didn't canter obi presidency but Obi is not straight forward on his agreement.
Nobody among the we masses knows Obi than Soludo. Among all the contestants Obi remains the best. Soludo said Obi pledged allegiance to APGA, had it being Obi runs on the platform of APGA, he would have unified and united all the Igbo worldwide and with that other tribes will take them serious.
