Exactly what happens in police stations. 90 percent of statements is written under duress. I know how many times in the past I had to insist I am educated and can write for myself. They will drag but I will claim I cannot be intimidated.
But with serious issues, they can go as far as threatening with a gun, even executing one or 2 people in front of you to intimidate you.

I had similar case like this, when police told me to write down their own statements with a dirty slap I wrote what I didn’t do. I was then transferred to Ikeja mobile court. When the judge ask me to bring 4 guarantor that pay taxes on a Friday . Next Monday was holiday mehn. Part of me believe her because Nigerian police are known to torture you to confess.

They will never allow you to write lailai, they will dictate what you'll write ni then ask you to sign. That's why I always advice pple to do away with anything that will lead to police asking you to write a statement unless you are the complainant.
