If you don't know your history, go and make some research, lagos is older than the independence nigeria.

I live in Abuja, so cut that crap. It's overrated. I know how Lagos was in the mid 90s and I know how it is now. I can tell you categorically that the presence or otherwise of the Federal Capital wouldn't have matter much. If you're in doubt, let them move the FCT from Abuja to another place and see what becomes of it in just 5 years.

as an Act Of Mercy so they wouldn’t drown in the Atlantic Ocean after driving the rest back to Benin

Ask the Ishans that fought them for the rest of the details

The rest of Lagos Was Conquered by the Egbas Of Abeokuta in the 1842 Ota War
