In Atiku's word one man (Ayu) has more electoral value than 5 men (G-5). So it's very difficult for him to let Ayu go:

National chairman - North
DG campaign - North
Presidential candidate - North

I am a pan African candidate of Northern extraction. Vote for me because the an average northern does not need a Yoruba or an Igbo president. This is a clear indication that Atiku has no regard for the South. But some Southerners can exchange anything for Money, that is why they are alway seen as second class citizens.

Secondus can't be PDP Chairman when it is expected that the presidency woúld be zoned to South.
Secondus was judged to have compromised integrity in so may places especially in Bayelsa gubernatorial race.
Jonathan wasn't happy with Secondus and Wike is very much loyal to Jonathan.
