AndSunGorilla:Mediocre poor quality performanced in a league that's largely on the level of English league two or lower. He played and failed at Arsenal, went to the Eredivise failed got demoted to the Eerste Divisie ( 2nd tier Dutch league) he failed again, then ended up in Porto B and could not even get in the team as a regular. Arsenal finally were able to get rid contract not renewed. He ended up in Huesca but they did not rate him and tried to terminate hic contract early. He gorsy Ponferradina FC a near bankrupt club in the relegation zone of the Segunda division. He is a desperate Dan that has no other leverage to get a better club. He needs the SE to get relevance. |

This life is funny sha Olivier Giroud is about to become France's all time highest goal scorer. One more goal and he gets it. This is the same guy a lot of football fans love to yab. He's such an underrated guy; little to no controversies, selfless, and efficient. He's on 51 goals now. Give this man some respect. |

jihday:I sure say no be Keshi own be that. I won't forget the CHAN match against Morocco that Keshi turned around. However, he and the NFF were in constant battles, also yes he made questionable invites but towards the end, I think he recalled the Sone Alukos, Raheem Lawal, Ike Uche but it was too late. My belief is that he would have learned from failings and adjusted. But one thing was clear, his team no matter how poor in quality they were, never played with fear. RIP Big Boss!! |

Odunayaw:Since they play regularly at their club sides, I'd say it's a coaching problem. Think how we've been battling with midfield problems and proper deployment of players. |

Samueltemi337:I don't understand your point. We just saw minnows like Australia have a go at one of the best sides in the game. I made my comment before Australia scored. Watching the ball finish and commenting is easy. I am talking about philosophy and play. Australia's problem has to do with stamina. They ran out of steam in the first half and could not press. Then the French outran them. Now the coach of Australia needs to work on pressing stamina and build from there. While us, we park the bus. There is no room for growth. So I know why I commented. If you know about me, it is not about the results. That is why it is not about "watch the ball finish". |

Odunayaw: It is stamina. Deschamps switched his tactics and got his team to hold the ball better. The Australians ran out of steam. It is still a learning process, and I would like to see how their coach will work on it in due time. Remember, Australians are minnows and kudos to them. |

AndSunGorilla: I did not speak too soon. The problem is many of you reason with the aspect of winning. I made my comment before Australia scored. So, I did not talk too soon. I was talking about how they could hold the ball against one of the best teams in the world, without world-class players. They ran out of steam to press and the tactics of Deschamps allowed his players to hold the ball longer. My point is that, if Australia can hold the ball in such crisp fashion, the Super Eagles cannot tell me we can't build a team that can. It balls down to our coaching philosophy and picking a manager that aligns with it. |

jihday: Doing that does not counter the point. It shows that you can get results from players that are not from pro leagues if they are groomed properly. |

jihday:Kudus, Inaki, Ayew senior, and Partey can score goals. Even Salisu, Djiki and Amartey have the area prowess to score from corner kicks. They also have that guy from Club Brugge that scored against Porto. I think his name is Sowal. |

TheGoodJoe:His players lack stamina but asked them to press? What stop Australia from changing tactics too? A team just lost 4-1 in a World cup tournament and you are making excuses for the team. The disrespect the Super Eagles is getting on here is appalling. We have played France, Brazil, Argentina and Ukraine in the last 16 years and has never lost beyond a 2 goals margin. What are you trying to say? |

komekn:Ejuke is more direct. I will prefer lookman or Awoniyi to play Aribo's position. Tella can come on at halftime for Ejuke. But since his young NFF won't even invite him.. I see him as a succession plan so for me he has to be invited as soon as possible and given game time of at least 30 - 90 mins per match |

fabyom:What you are missing is growth. We have not lost in that manner but in five years we have not grown. What I saw yesterday in Australia is a team determined to grow. They may have lost but at that period before they scored, we saw a team capable of outplaying and beating one of the best sides in world football. That we cannot say over five to six years. The keyword is growth. Super Eagles lost its respect when we stopped being brave Super Eagles and I hope it changes. |
