Greetings!!

Please my Toyota Camry 1997/1998 is giving me headache. If I park the car in an open space where there's direct sunlight or if I drive it for let's say close to an hour, the mileage digits will clear off, disappear and the gear will no longer select until I drive to where there's shade and park for an hour before the mileage digits comes up again. If not, i will just be firing gear one all along.

What's the solution please?

Can be ABS or speed sensor or the sensor on the gear. You have to scan first to be sure, so you don't throw parts at it.

Check if your instrument cluster is still okay

Can be ABS or speed sensor or the sensor on the gear. You have to scan first to be sure, so you don't throw parts at it.

Electrical Issue. Check the fuse box on the left below the steering for a 10 amp fuse (Gauge) that controls the dashboard.

Does the power window control work ?
