Bros, e be like sey na back of T.V you watch that day. That Ghanaian team played very well, pressured Portugal and looked very sharp. Yes, their passing wasn't top-notch but they did show that determination and came all out to play. So far in this tournament, they are the only African team that has made me proud.

I completely agree... Poor investment in talent hunt and improvement, lack of encouragement and promotion of youth leagues.

Look at Nigeria for example, we once had a set of golden youth players that we allowed fall through the cracks...

I will never understand why we constantly have to depend on other nations to develop the majority of players that we need for national assignments, while nothing is done at home... Such a shame!

I am not too sure Ghana played worse than what Senegal is playing today. Scoring twice against Portugal in a high tensioned game is no mean feat.

It is pure inferiority complex that is wrong with the Africans, especially, West and Central and east african.
When Egypt ruled Africa and handles star stunned Brazil, Egypt relied 99 percent on their local leagues. They were fire and were even respected globally.
North Africans invest on league and mix with maybe few foreign players and that has worked for them and that is the right thing to do.
Same thing Asians are doing.
It is only west Africa that Wil go and pack all their players from Europe, even those playing in lower definitions. Players who have scored no goals or few goals as against their locals league top scorer who could probably do better.
It is all about low self esteem.
The north Africans still believe in their league and they keep making sure they improve it.
Egypt league, most use VAR for their leagues. If u have a rule that at least 50 percent of your national team players come from ur league, it will help and encourage u to invest in ur local league to develop competitive players.
If u compare the north Africans and their counter parts from west Africa or East Africa, u would see that the north play better and more strategic.
