We are really good at telling people are foolish they are. Even in death, many still call him foolish. Am not saying a phone should be used as an excuse to commit suicide. But mental health is a real issue and it goes beyond what some of us understands.
I believe his reasons for committing suicide goes deeper than a phone, but because there was no professional on ground to help him identify some of his underlying issues, he wrote down what he thinks was his reasons.

Now, as a people we don't give advice without insult and we don't show concern or condolence without more insults. This is just who we are as a people. Many don't even know they do this, some don't see anything wrong in doing this and some just get a kick by doing this. This my fellow Nigerians, are who we are.

Spoilt but his parents couldn't afford to give him a decent phone that may even be useful for his academic works? May God never make me treat my kids that way. I would rather spoil them than make them lack basic things such as phone most especially when I can afford it

I pity children of nowadays, kiling urself cos of a cheap girl and cheap phone. In my days in the higher institution, feeding was a problem and Nokia 3310 was our companion for years. Girls were avoided cos it was a distraction and luxury was no where close to our doorstep. U just died for nothing, rest in pieces.

Everybody goes through a lot at one point or another in our lives. Suicide shouldn't be an option no matter what. I know what depression is because it's the situation I've been for over six years now specifically. I was once very close to suicide before I thought that life is worth more than death regardless of my messy situation.

I know it's not easy, but a real man has to keep fighting to stay alive no matter the difficulty of life. Always remember the people your departure will hurt so badly to the extent that life would even be more miserable for them than yours.
