What of students house rents
ASUU n Fg have f up big time, some are going through a lot. A friend of mine has paid for almost a year rent which she didn't use, landlord wasn't smiling n we won't blame him. This is students' future played with.
Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever tribe or religion (I don't care). Vote for a better Nigeria, for someone you're sure won't solve it all but at least the country will start moving. For the past 8years we've been backpedaling at high speed Las las in as much as we want to japa asap, this is our home, a house is not a home. Our choice!

Why did ASUU go on strike?
Did the government and ASUU come to equity with clean hands?
Should workers and labour unions be denied their rights and implementation of agreements?

Nigeria my country. Are we truly practicing democracy?

It affected we the uniben security. We have not been paid for 4months we work during the strike. Only security officer where still on ground during the strike. Who can help us please

Because every man and his dog knows ASUU called off the strike a number of weeks ago.

It's unfortunate that the students lost an irreplaceable time. However, very soon, just very soon, the nation will catch the fever of what government has done to education and by extension, other sectors.

With this development, it therefore means the government now has an unrestrained power to continue to oppress the Nigerian workers because you don't want them to talk.

Why are they fighting?!

1) Stop proliferation of Universities and fund the existing ones but hell no! They still churn out approval for more than 20 private schools owned by government officials to de-market government institutions

2) Fund fed schools but no, they prefer to renegade on promises and do little to no serious funding. Things are presently sonbad that as a science student, you practically live on theory because most real practicals can't be achieved and class rooms, libraries are extremely poor.

3) They don't want to pay them well so that they can come to private institutions and start lecturing- you pay lecturers 110k+ for Juniors and 400k for prof with over 30 years work experience. Same 2009 salary till now.

4) Part of the demands are that they should issue white paper on university corruption but the fed government who install VCs don't want to do that...
Etc.....

Government set up multiples of panels and commitees to fix salary but they themselves don't want to agree with the submissions in which they formed the members of the committee.

I will be here in 2023, when poor students will start paying #200,000 for school fees since there won't be funding from government.

ASUU must stop fighting a fight parents and students should be fighting!

The biggest obstacle to another ASUU strike is the lecturers wives.

With the guaranty of no work no pay, it's their wives that will warn them against any new strike. Wives need money on the table to care for the kids

Buhari is a hard man.

ASUU has allowed this government to establish a no work, no pay precedent that future governments will follow.

We dare ASUU to go to court for the 8 months salaries not paid, we want to check something �
