Why do people fear Man rather than God?

The God that can kill himself ain't worthy to be feared!

God is merciful and will forgive. But human can kill

Because God is all forgiving...

But mankind will smile before you and will kill you...


God is loving and easily look away....But you wouldn't know when you must have offended someone who will carefully plan to revenge you....


Fear man....and love God...

To be honest it's something that baffles me even among so-called Christians.

I know a lot of Christians who are so humble before men, they would even literally bow down before their fellow men, try to do things to please men, but when it comes to God, Kai!

It's really astonishing.

I even noticed that it was the same thing in the Bible, where those humble before God like David, Moses, Jesus etc., would be seen as proud by their fellow men, including those who are rejects or seen as proud before God like Eliab, Aaron and Miriam, and the Pharisees.

It's a real mystery.

Perhaps it's because they can't see God physically as they do humans.

They can see man, they can’t see God! They have been told how merciful God is, how he’s gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy (Psalm 145:8 KJV).

Assuming we are still in the days of the old testament, the earth would have been wiped out by now.

We can see man but we can't see God. We tend to fear what see than what we can't

Most men are not reasonable.

Because man exists while god most likely doesn't

There's a reason someone who believes there's a god that's everywhere and knows all will still take a gun and murder someone in a remote location and after doing the deed he will then scan around to see if there was anyone that saw him and then relax when he sees no one was really there.
Because they know a single man seeing them would be very bad for them but doesn't give a shit that omnipresent god is there with them

A pastor would be sleeping with all the beautiful girls and women in his congregation both single and married and when he's caught by just a single person he'd beg the person not to tell anyone despite the god they claim exists is right there with them. because in their heart of hearts they know the god they keep preaching about don't exist but since what they are doing is bringing in money properties and pussies they'd rather keep pretending than go to poverty

God is merciful, he can't run you streets, no matter your sin

If a man tell you God punish or kill you go home and have some chill drink

But if a man tell you he will kill you, you better be scared and put up defenses

Plus people are more afraid of who they can see than who they can't

Until you know who you really are, you will keep living in fear.

Many have put aside the word and would go with what they can get from the pulpit on Sundays as long as it is suiting to the ears. The pulpit too has a way of manipulating the mind as there is the natural desire for power and control in man.

When men start doing personal daily meditation on the word of God, it would be gradual mindshift.

The question should be, why do people fear the illusory phantom called God at all instead of tripling their fears for the selfish, malevolent being called man?

It is because when all is said and done the story of God is a great fairy tale.

Because they don't believe in God... they just follow religion because they were born into it...

Reason why people fear some man than God is because some man don't fear God at all before they do what they do ,I mean the evil they do without the fear of God makes some people to fear them

Cuz our God is a messiful God.

Man exist, God doesn't.

It's hell that people fear more. Tell people there's no hell and watch how they put away anything concerning righteousness.
Extreme debauchery and wickedness will bloom and flourish if there's no fear of hell. Even in the presence of law enforcements(men).

Men fear what they can see rather than an imaginary being.

Because most people unconsciously don't believe in God.

However, they just can't consciously accept the fact that they don't believe in God because of irrational fear of the unknown.

Also because they think it's crazy not to believe in God they have been brainwashed from childhood to believe in.

We can see man, but God is an invisible man
