When the NA unveiled the bike squad, they had proper off-road bikes. All the pics I'm seeing lately seem to be commercial bikes not suited for off-road.
What gives?

Those off road bikes are agile and suited for the environment.

Then also easy to source and maintain as far as I know.

Any other reason I won't know now as am I am far from any of the Frontlines.

How practical are they in combat situations?

A little bit of history. In 2007 African Union hired Kenya railways then rift valley Railways RVR to move UPDF hardware from Kampala (Uganda) to Mombasa(Kenya) and then from Mombasa port, The cargo ship was to be escorted by Kenya Navy ships to keep off Somali pirates to mogadishu.

Yes you are right, I have seen a video of it but in the video it was fitted with only the gun there was no amour plate in front of it

Do you own or ride a bike? If you understand how a bike achieves balance you ll not say this.

Well you can't expect less, Russia is fighting UkraiNATO (over 30 Western countries indirectly).
But saying Western military tactics is superior, I don't think so. For over 10 months now, Russia has been resisting the UkraiNATO forces while been able to hold onto the Donbass region.

At the first 3 months of the war, Russia had captured about 30% of Ukrainan territory, 7 months later, they no longer hold some of the regions.
The media claims that the UkraiNATO forces liberated them, while Russia says it pulled out (strategically) of some of the regions. We just have to take whatever they say as half truth, when the war is over, we will separate facts from fallacy.

Now as of present, just recently the Russian troops pulled out of "some part" of Kherson. The UkraiNATO forces used the opportunity to occupy the empty region while bragging and claiming that they chased out the Russian forces.
3 days later and the Russian forces started raining missiles on the UkraiNATO occupied part of Kherson.
That comedian, Mr Zelensky was sooo confused that he even fired a missile into Poland and blamed it on Russia with the intention of making NATO invoke their article 5 but as usual, NATO(No Action, Talk Only) dodged the bullet.

Asi it stands now, Russia is definitely going to use winter as a bitter ally against Ukraine. Their power grids and energy infrastructures are targeted on a daily basis, Ukraine is in lack of basic amenities (electricity, water, shelters) which indicates that Russia is going to overrun Ukraine while it freezes to death. This was the same tactic that was used against the Germans by the Soviets in WW2. Russia has announced another mobilization of conscripts to make this possible.
Meanwhile that comedian of a president is in a bunker asking for more weapons.
Infact they should give him Captain America and the Avengers since the Western air defence systems are incompetent enough not to intercept the Shahed 136 kamikaze drones

The automated Engine Test cell at Laikipia Air Base is one of its kind. The Kenya Air Force (KAF) prides itself on this facility which is a reliable, high quality product used worldwide to perform post maintenance and repair tests. A thorough review of the T-20C test cell with its application to KAF operations has led to many new improvements, while preserving equipment compatibility and configuration.

During an engine test cell run, the required data is recorded remotely in a mobile control cabin in order to monitor parameters of the test.
This climate-controlled, mobile control cabin hosts control and data acquisition systems. Fuel is supplied through an external tank located at a safe distance in order to minimize the risk of fire. The mobile fuel system contains all the components needed for engine testing which includes a fuel pump, filter and flow meter. The fuel system complies with the safety standards and is compatible with KAF hardware. The standard fuel trailer’s capacity is 2500 gallons. The backflow regulation system improves flow and stability at high flow rates. Ground mounted fuel pallets are also available for large capacity, lesser portability applications. Mounted in a locked facility to prevent forward motion during engine run, the mobile thrust stand with a trailer provides a secure mounting base with a 48-inch rail system compatible with KAF rail transfer equipment.

The stand assembly includes four support jacks which are used during a test and provides a mounting point for the fuel valve. The trailer comes equipped with removable axles, a steering system and running gear. Dual working load cells can
several occasions for example during engine design and performance tests, during engine installation on the test cell following maintenance and functional checks, after overhaul and also during repair or inspection in the engine shop. But whatever test is due to be performed, the procedure in the test cell is always the same. The test needs to demonstrate that the engine meets its design parameters and can withstand operational hazards such as Ingestion of dust, debris, sand and withstand excessive water ingestion.

All this is necessary to prove that the engine being tested meets the entire scope of operational and safety requirements. This serves to enable flying, reinforce the technologies that makes it possible to fly safely in our air space as well as minimize the risks our crew are exposed to in all operating limits. A Safe airspace and mission readiness is the responsibility of the Technical Maintenance Unit.

The J85 is a 1950's engine. So that stand is not impressive at all. Kenyas jets are close to being 100 years old

one of the APCs is the latest proforce ARA... Meaning it must of happened very recently
