Kimi would have performed better as a four episode series. At eighty four minutes, I was sure it would turn out forgettable. The movie had potential despite its rushed ending and character plot armour. Oh well.

WBD really tricked everyone real good. Even scoopers scoopless.

This is the kinda surprise I wanna be seeing.
It would have been pretty dumb not to drop any form of marketing even if it's only Blue Beetle; cos the character would potentially be the first live action solo for a Latino Superhero.
Also pushing the release date to world Latin month would be very good for the film as well as its significance just like Black Panther.

It seems pretty well done aside the part at the ending when she made commands to the robot and the villains are just standing there doing nothing till she turned lights off and ran.

The character has had three iterations iiirc. Jaime Reyes is the new favourite asides Ted Kord.
Don't really know who's Melody. I ain't deep in Blue Beetle or Booster Gold lore.

Also the film has an almost completely Latino dominated cast. So it's genuine Latino film. Even director the director na Latino.

Na Ted kord I remember. Melody was his on off love interest. I am struggling to remember the exact comic so I can go and search for it. As I am.writing this I am remembering teen titans the judas contract - a story from the 80s that made it all the way to becoming a DC movie in the 00s

it was a four part series and i only had one of the comics. now as i write this i also remeber the trigon saga

this is really a time to be alive when you can remember a movie, tv show , cartoon or book from your childhood and download and in minutes be reliving childhood nostalgia

Not as good as Run. Hide. Fight which had a shorter runtime but better payoff.

The only things the movie portrayed well were an amazing home assistant and an insight into agoraphobia. Angela transforms from a scared female afraid of her own shadow into John McClane in a skirt through eight hours or less. With four hours achievable from a show format, we would have the opportunity to watch the character grow into the final ten minutes. They could also go deeper into shady practices the company partook in. There were inklings of such which were quickly scrapped due to time constraints.

I enjoyed the movie. I just wished it was more fleshed out.

This is definitely not an era for movies to make it big at the cinemas. It will take something extraordinary to make $1bn now sef, and $1bn was easily doable like 3, 4 years ago.

Still waiting on the "magic" that Egbon Adugbo James Cameron want to perform with "Avatar: The way of the water", to make it get $2bn at the BO

You're kinda wrong on Japanese content tho.

While Korea now has many movie great titles to call on, Japan can also boast same. Although, the Japs has been losing ground on live action in recent years while the Koreans has been consolidating.

Ju On, The Ring are always in best horror movies of all time.

The Wind Rises, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Paprika, Akira, Ghost in A Shell, Perfect Blue, Princess Mononoke, Grave of Fireflies.....

These are some top well recognized premium Japanese anime movies even tho I haven't watched all.
