Often in Nigeria, we seek to solve the country’s problem from the very top, but nearly everyone constitutes to an extent the problem of the country. The country’s salary system has been a corruption haven.

Hourly pay would greatly mitigate corruption and if Obi is able to implement it, it is another step towards getting it right. Hourly pay would not just ensure productivity, it would reduce the number of ghost workers which corrupt individuals have used to fraudulently allocate job space to nonexistent individuals. With hourly pay, daily activities would be recorded and that would curb ghost workers.

Many times especially in government institutions, workers hardly ever report to work early, those in government hospitals, schools and other sectors hardly ever work appropriately, they usually have staggering absences and even when they show up in office, some of the workers prefer to waste precious time chatting and doing other non work related stuff.

I’m not trying to say that even in the chaotic scenario in Nigeria that there are not diligent workers however the salary system makes nearly anyone earning a decent income from government jobs to establish a side business where they pay more attention to. With hourly pay would come better earning, not withstanding hourly pay has its own issue however when it comes to fighting workplace corruption, hourly pay is the best practice.

I keep wondering, why can't we declare Peter Obi as the president immediately, damn the elections, it's a waste of time. Nigeria needs urgent solutions, and Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed is the solution

Sometimes I wonder why there should be a contest, it is clear on who has the capacity and solutions to Nigeria’s problem, I’m not surprised but I’m happy that Nigerians are fighting, Obi losing would mean that The greater Nigerian population lose again, nothing but a continuation of a potential bondage, the most important thing is that Nigerians are fighting the power that has held the country hostage, of course it is not a little force we are up against but we are all in this together.

With this, the FGs salary burden will drop by about 25%.

nigerian government has not been able to implement the minimum wage effectively across all sectors... people still earn below the official minimum wage in this country...this piglet is talking about hourly payment just to get some dumb Nigerians excited

When salary burden drops by 25% and production increases by at least 25% it means prosperity rises by 50%, fixing Nigeria only seem like rocket science because the wrong people are in charge

When minimum wage fails is where hourly pay should work, if you work hourly, you won’t stay in the factory if there’s no job to do, it is cause 50% of the people employed are not even needed.

Employment is based on appointments, so they don’t employ qualified people but privileged people. Some workers need to be laid off and given supports to start agriculture and venture into other sectors, 50% of the workers employed by FG are not working but earning salary.

Corrupt politicians will likely fight against it, because they don't want people to rise up to ask them questions.

By then they can’t, the only way they can is by fighting that Obi does not emerge so the fight is now, it seems like an us vs them

Peter Obi is really ready and prepared to take Nigeria to greatness. The people supporting other candidates are simply enemies of the people and enemies of Governance.

Some state can't pay 30k minimum wage..
Most private sector pay you 15k per month
How will a hourly minimum wage be implemented if you can't implement monthly own?
Will you force the government and private sector to pay?
Will you criminize them if they don't?

Most jobs in Nigeria relies on cheap available labor, if you won't others will, no effective labor union their only strength is against FG, against the private sector they are non existence.

While this is a good idea I will still like you to expand on its practicality considering the complex socioeconomic Nigeria environment

Hourly pay is still possible if you have good knowledge of fraction and general mathematics you would be able to work out that 15K a month is roughly #500 a day then you divide #500 by 24 then you get his much you should be paid an hour equal about #20 so people can be paid #50 naira an hour, this is more a mathematical situation not an economic complexity

Hourly pay will work better in a country where there is electricity is stable, otherwise the corruption will still be there. For instance, the easiest way is for the workers to punch in so that it'll be clear to everyone who worked and who didn't "-\

Once hourly pay has become effective, there would be solution to power data servers, might I remind you that bet9ja still work without stable electricity, how do they do that, it doesn't cost much to install a solar battery in every office where work hour is entered, in fact with a good laptop, it can be done effectively.
