All these pictures were published this weekend, when various ISIS branches were pledging bay'ah to the new ISIS leadership.
On this twitter account, you'll find more such pledges from other regions, like DRC, Mali, Iraq etc.

Seems like the Nigerian army is the biggest donor of arms and vehicles for the militants

one of the APCs is the latest proforce ARA... Meaning it must of happened very recently

I'm guessing very recently, last month probably
wrong no attack last month I don't think we've had any attack on us since the beginning of operation Desert/lake sanity
The most recent successful operation was in chad and they killed 35 chadians i heard they attacked again
When they attacked troops guarding an IDP camp we retaliated with airstrikes destroying 3-4 vehicles and killing a Top commander
This same group you posted tried to attack our army base in Warjiro but as usual 20+ plus neutralised including the commanders that were with them one of the vehicles destroyed another captured
It seems the airforce trailed the escapees but no update from them

What resource do you use for your data? My company uses ACLED and we're always on the lookout for something better.
The pic below shows the results when I filter for only terrorist v army attacks. I then added a 2nd filter with air/drone/artillery/IED explosions.
As you can see, the date commences fro 01 Jan, and when on the system clicking on any of the dots gives you a description of the incident, and the source of the information.

The J85 is a 1950's engine. So that stand is not impressive at all. Kenyas jets are close to being 100 years old
The stand is not the engine, the stand and the test cell can still be used to test even the most modern of engines.

An airforce that can maintain its aircraft in capable fighting condition for as long as you claim is x10 better than one with the newest toys with no track record of maintenance and ends up always grounding its aircraft for various reasons. It shows that the day we finally upgrade our fighter jets, we will still be able to guarantee combat readiness and maintain the units for a long time.

And BTW, the US-Air force and navy plans to continue using the engine until 2040.

Jun 1 2020
GE Aviation continues to steadily produce supplies for the J85. In May, the company was awarded a $394 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide J85 engine supplies for the United States Air Force and Navy.

“We’re very excited about supporting the U.S. Air Force and Navy with a reliable engine that has been flown by generations of pilots, proudly built by generations of GE employees,” said Al DiLibero, GE Aviation’s vice president and general manager of medium combat & trainer engines.

Not bad for a jet engine that’s all of 18 inches wide and 45 inches long. For many years, the J85 had the highest thrust-to-weight ratio (8:1) of any jet engine in aviation. Let’s just call it “The Little Tough Guy.”
https://blog.geaerospace.com/technology/long-live-the-j85-ges-little-tough-guy/

Also BTW, This private company is trying to build a commercial jet that will be able to reach Mach 6 speeds, ended up getting a defense contract from pentagon after doing a proof of concept demonstration.
The prototype used the old J-85 engine to reach mach 3 and added their own modified afterburner to reach higher speeds.... So I guess the engine is still good for something, it might even make a comeback cheesy

And I'm not trying to dispute that we need new fighter jets, but learn to appreciate what you got!

But your chart hasn't proven otherwise. No major military equipment were captured from the Nigerian army since January this year...
The PR is for them jihadists to appear still in good shape, but the military messed them up this year...they never had it this bad, more than 20k surrender, many deaths.

They had to wait this long to bring out this PR grin grin

They were messed up from leadership down to their foot soldiers.

I wasn't trying to prove anything otherwise.
According to the resource I use, there were 264 events involving the military and terrorists, in North east Nigeria from 01 Jan to 25 Nov.
These include ambushes etc, where it is certainly possible at least that Proforce Ara was taken.
I am not going to click on everyone of those, but I'll screenshot just 1 dot, so you get the gist of the info available.

So the Jihaddists time travelled from 2021 to capture the ARA MRAP that was going to be in service in 2022?

If the above is true, then I'll pay these guys a visit, I'm in need of Powerball numbers grin

you read this post... And help yourself, ARA has been in the Northeast for 2-3years now, so can't judge by that.

I know Kabe1 hurt your ego few pages back but well Boko Haram have truly been "technically defeated".

The question is why would they be showing these weapons just now? In the previous years they did that anytime they scored a major success on Our troops.
I leave you to add things up. wink

He's butt-hurt from all the shellacking I gave to him last week.

It's because of reasons like this I don't like backing down from drinking South-African tears.

OK and? Does the photo confirm a delivery date?...... But either way its a pointless debate anyway cool if it entered service late 2019 or 2022 really doesn't mean much in the context of things
