Portugal/Switzerland are very beatable teams. But at this stage of the tournament, the bench becomes critical.
1) I hope the first choice CBs will be available as both were injured tonight
2) the guy who replaced Boufal Ezzalzouli has not impressed me so far
3) The Cheddar guy from the bench is almost useful
The bench for Morocco is my fear. But on a good day, based on their performance in this tourney, Portugal or Switzerland should be no match for them.

What a chance missed by Morocco!!!!
What did I tell you? Only France can stop the Moroccans. Either Portugal or Switzerland will be defeated. Spain's attack lack bites! Morocco will be the first African team in the Semis!
The significance of a very good goalkeeper cannot be overemphasized. We need a good goalkeeper. Without it we will continue to come short in major tournaments.

Mujtahida:
The bolded is precisely one of the reasons I detest tiki taka. It makes no sense for me to sit down to watch a game where only one team knocks the ball around. Even the great Brazilian teams of Pele and Zico allowed the opponent to have some share of possession.

That's not football. It's tiki taka. I consider it an abomination, a blight on the beautiful game that two teams line up to play and the strategy of one team is to totally deny the other team of the ball. It's like a child who will not share his toys when his mates come to play with him. When a child behaves like that even if he or she is your child, most parents will discourage such a behavior.

It's a shame that the Spanish - a nation I very much like - would stoop so low as to espouse this crudity called tiki taka.

I don't understand. You press. When Manchester City met Barcelona, we pressed and dominated possession. You make it look as if there is no way to fight for the ball.

That is the art of the possession game. You train to win the ball with intensity and keep the ball with longevity.

When Manchester City met Chelsea under Tuchel, both sides fought for the ball.

You can't blame the system.

Watch Inter Milan vs Barcelona I think that was this year. Look at how Inter fought for the ball with intensity. So, Spain are ready to do the hardwork to become a better footballing side. Other sides should wake up.

Either way, congrats to Morocco. Sad that Spain lost but Glad and African team with an African coach are through to the Quarter finals.

I said it that time. NFF wasted time keeping that bribe taker called Alloy Agu in that position for too long. Our GK selections became so predictable that non performing GKs got invite. Long before we sacked rohr, Alloy should've gotten the fucking boot out that team. That man single handedly finished our GK dept to a point worse than mediocrity

It happens every time. The reason is because Morocco defended with numbers behind. Spain plays with a high line and with space at the back. It is easier to go at them when they lose the ball.

That is why the system gets a lot of praise.

Morocco are reaping the fruit of proper football investments over the last 5-6 years of their football overhaul.

It is the reason they are so keen to host almost everything and have been pushing even in the Women's game.

They spent money people. They didn't just gather a team. They invested.

Nigeria can do same. But yes, we can also take the Morocco route and employ a coach that truly knows the best of our players.

Walid and Amunike are similar coaches in terms of coaching Philosophy and style.

Let us not dull ourselves.

My anger level has dropped a bit tonight concerning Africa, I will support Morocco to the last, I'm seeing a semifinal or better still final for them.
North African region has little or no hatred or beef with us soccer wise, though Algeria and Tunisia still has a score to settle with us, as for Morocco they are one the African teams I so love, we don't have any beef nor rivalry with them, so they can go all the way to the final...Amen

I like where you said investments. That word is key, the Moroccan 'investment' is multi-faceted. Nigeria is seriously broken at this point, it may be possible but it's hard to have the required development only within our sports, am wrong, football sphere. We definitely have huge potentials in many sports and other things. Am sorry for the digression but nna men, wahala dey.
