Freelancing is competitive, which is why your skills matters and the category you are in, someone in a niche has a strong shot vs general purpose field.

The W-8BEN or W8BEN-E is the form every non USA resident fill if he or she is working on any of the US digital marketplace platforms or company in order to prove that he or she is a non resident and tax should not be deducted from his or earnings.

It's been filled in Amazon, ezoic and every other US based digital companies

All you require to do fill up the form and state the country you're currently residing and your current address. You don't need TIN for heaven sake

You are wrong, You must provide the TIN number. Filling the form and telling upwork you are not a US citizen is not enough, in fact, you can't go on without providing your TIN, it is a new thing on Upwork, you cant withdraw all US earnings without it and you have a deadline to do so, else, you will dash the US government a huge chunk of your money.

Anybody can claim they don't have anything to do with the US, how do you expect upwork to agree to that? the only way is to provide a valid and matching TIN number with your name, and if you are not a Nigerian with a NIN and some other requirements, you cant have a TIN number.

You were asked for niche/skillset by OfficialDJ and you never responded, we are not in your head. State your niche or do a google search, you haven't provided any info that can be beneficial to you, others have stated and gotten response.

TBH I doubt anyone here that's earning well is afraid of you getting ahead of them. Most people who start on Upwork and Fiverr give up with or without direction.
Try YouTube for guidance. Sometimes you'll make the most progress by helping yourself.

Yea, trust me I used YouTube alot but none of the solutions are tailored towards helping Nigerians I don't have a clue how to even create an account but as for the skill I already got it through a boot camp, I'm totally lost on how to go about it, read alot on this thread but saw so many conflicting solutions.

He didn't advice me, he asked if I have an account and I said no, how is that an advice, should I be screaming at the top of my voice because he replied me? So laughable. Please create an account first. You type well, so I believe you are educated and it shouldn’t be hard to figure out. I don’t even remember how to create an Upwork account, I rarely work on the platform anymore, but I ensure I keep my account in good standing.

1) Create an account
2) Get it to 100%
3) You can google for sample profiles of freelancers in your niche. Don’t copy and paste, just use it as a guideline to creating your own bio.
4) After you have done 1-3, you can then come back for your profile to be reviewed. Maybe tips on proposal writing.
5) Create an account. I would advise you do this via web (with a desktop).

Always create a Nigerian acct. I don’t encourage fraudulent practices. Checks might come up midway and you are stuck.

While at it, build a portfolio. A portfolio is basically a sample of your works. Let your works and proposal speak for you as a beginner.
