Nigerians actually like what they claim to hate and sadly hate what they should like.
What exactly is that genuine business you need to do with physical cash?
Everything should be done online. That way, we know who is getting what, from where and how it is spent.

It will be seriously difficult to buy votes on election day honestly for those who are relying on it, I mean how many people can they quickly do transfer for on that day and no more usage of old Naira notes which has already been stored up for that purpose either....

I don't know why but Bubu is killing the little chances APC might have in the election.

Even if they limit it to 1k per day, politicians will have access to their money in cash any time they need it, even if they need 500m in cash, bank will deliver it

The law is made to frustrate the poor and the opposition group.

this hurried policy aint inclusive. rural folks &d urban poor will now revert to transacting in cash &keeping cash

People in rural areas aren't really rich...that's why many local communities don't have banks. This government is trying to promote and encourage cashless economy which has enormous benefits.

We shouldn't deceive ourselves, no politicians will be affected by the policy, it will only affect the mases as those politicians know how they will boycut themselves yo take cash, so you think they always go to bank? No, the bank manager him/herself will bring the money to their doorstep.

MemoriesAndMe:
This policy will greatly affect politicians. How are they going to pay their urchins, supporters and hired crowds? Bank transfers?

As long as people can transfer any sum and deposit any sum, this should not be a challenge. Perhaps it's time to embrace online banking.
the aim of online banking is because they will charge you for every transaction. That is the only aim it is not for any betterment. If you have cash you dont get charged for spending it. But when you pay electronically, they can take a share from you ALL the time.

Banks will be avoided,I mean people will stop taking their money to the banks and that will subsequently result to lots of robberies and break - ins ! That policy won't work.

You think so narrowly. Is only Tinubu that this withdrawal limit will affect? Think about the common man and small business owners. Strange

Any youth youth with a smartphone shouldn't complain about this policy. Just as digjital books are replacing printed books, digital money would replace printed money.
I see nothing wrong with this policy. I predicted this last month. I am expecting new policy on forex and uses of domiciliary account.

The CBN has been tryin so hard to implement a cashless policy, we need to shape up. The world is leaving us behind. Even our security operative who’s the most anachronistic man I know now does transfers via is basic phone. Why are we so averse to change? Why are we so obsessed with carrying loads of physical cash?

Do you know over 80million Nigerians are unbanked ?
The first role of the CBN is to capture these unbanked Nigerians...
U can then implement any cashless policy you want...
Why the rush in placing the cart before the horse ?
Very annoying and useless CBN policy

Till your transfer hangs and you're told to wait for 10 working days when your love one is at the hospital and the Doctor has requested that you must deposit before he or she gets oxygen.

They should look for another way of solving this economy issue
This plan of theirs isn't favoring in anyway

Some people accept only cash no cash no business
This will affect business men both those in higher chain down to those on low of the lowest in a negative way.

Besides this gives a higher chance for hackers and thieves to cart away people hard earned money

Eg me prefer cash to cash transactions I hardly do transfer nor accept it

Nigeria is to risky for all this online transactions.

You will adjust, everyone will adjust. We cannot make progress without sacrifice. The benefits of this policy outweighs the inconvenience of a few people.
Now you will have to accept transfers going forward. No monetary policy will work if a bulk of the money in circulation is outside the controll of CBN. Every sensible country has tight limitations on cash movement

Economic problems need to be solved using multi-prong approach. New CBN policy is one of them. Monetary policy. Government at all levels need to work on fiscal policy.
