Wow wow wow, that's a huge upset. Brazil really tried in my opinion, after the goal they should never have allowed Croatia to equalize. If Holland wins Argentina, we would be watching one of the most boring SFs embarassed embarassed.

NFF need to travel and study the Croatian football infrastructure. Their consistency and ability to rise to the occasion at important moments is unmatched.

Argentina vs Croatia
Argentina vs. Croatia will be a better match to watch. Croatia's tactic is first to defend with their lives and block off the midfield. They trust themselves in PKs, all their PKs were excellent and that their goalie na penalty wizard.

Neymar scored but he slows the team down. He does not press off the ball and when looses the ball!

Europe has run away with football. Last time there was any semblance of balance in world football was the 90s to early 2000s.

It's quite depressing to be frank.

Luka Modric is one of the greatest midfielders in the history of this game. He got nothing to prove. His leadership has been excellent and inspiring.

Loves to play to the gallery unnecessarily and not a team player. He is a big minus and liability when his team is chasing the ball

A Reminder: Dominic Livakovic is a GK based in Croatia, a backwater league.

Dominik Livakovic, 27 yrs, plays for Dinamo Zagreb, the only side in Croatia sitting above Awaziem's Hajduk Split.

He has been there for 6 seasons. And he kept goal ahead of Atletico Madrid's Ivo Grbic.

A backwater league GK showing quality even with a Top 5 leagues GK in the team.

Again, my point rings.

Quality is quality as long as what you bring uplifts the NT. It doesn't matter where you play. That criterion is secondary.... the number 1 and primary check is your quality level and if you have what the team needs.

Football is first about players quality & Tactical sync before where a player plies his trade.

Well done Livakovic. PSO and GK Demon.

Croatia was a part of the old Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia were no push overs back in the day. In 98 they had Suker and it took a Thuram inspiration for France to beat them. Also there is a notion that Eastern Europeans are highly intelligent and good at strategic thinking, we always expect them to be good chess players right? Anyway give it to them, they have a solid team, solid coach, major ingredient missing is just that their attack is not as sharp as the days of Suker or when they had a younger Mandzukic. Once again respect to Morocco, some people won't like to hear that. Respect also to Belgium who really carved open the Croats but could not go past Lukaku's majestic defensive blockade.

OP
That was on Tite, why not playing like they do in PSG, out him on the wings? Instead of having primadonnas upfront.

Even I, here, know my Maroc Boys will likely fall on Saturday. It's been a good run. And yes, that "Arab world-only mentality" talk that they allowed to go public isn't drawing a lot of goodwill towards them despite their coach doing his best to deflect from it.

Portugal to go through but I am proud of My Maroc Boys. I am open to a shocker but Portugal have got too much quality and are more direct and much more swiftly vertical in their attacking plays than Spain.

Also I think the RB and LB for Brazil because both are CBs didn't help the team too, we can blame injury for that. Militao and Danilo can't offer much in attacking transitions.

You mention Yugoslavia. Why is it that Serbia and Bosnia are not emulating this success?

What gives?

Argentina made the final in 2014 now. The Croats were solid and really prepared tactically for Brazil. I am not sure Brazil did that, you have to respect all your opponents in the 2nd round and approach each game based on who you are playing against.
