Before Peter Obi decided to run for president, he was seen by all as the leader that will fix Nigeria if elected President.

Before Datti accepted to be Obi's VP, he was seen as an incorruptible politician.

Maybe I will engage you personally as an Anambrarian who lived in Anambra before and after Peter Obi.
Obi has always had problems with the elites just because he doesn't dash out the 'national cake' or should I say the state cake just like other politicians do. That explains why you don't see notable Anambra politicians or by extension Igbo politicians supporting him now. Just before they are not guaranteed of any benefit from his wining.
Obi even as a governor focuses on the people and Anambra state have never seen the type of decentralised development it saw during Obi's tenure.
