I don't think that is it. Instead, OP is rating the practice of humans is all. It is hard to deny the fact that churchianism looks no different from traditional worship even today as so many of the same rituals practiced by idol worshippers have found their way into your churchian lives. From night vigils , to your night prayers , even to that mentioned by the OP. There is little to no difference between what churchians do and that which obvious idol worshippers engage in order than the packaging that is.
