Daninya33:The football politics want Messi to win 1 world cup.. Expect Argentina to get penalties against France. |

TheSuperNerd:What a Time!! A good birthday gift. I pity those saying he will do nothing special in the final because of today's showing. E go surprise everyone. If he doesn't even go for Future World Cups, he's already on the Goat table for WCs. Argentina beware!! |

COOL10:These are the things they easily get away with In Caf Club competitions. Sadly, West African sides are yet to win that aspect of psychological warfare against this childish North African style, and Caf is not helping either. |

codemaniacs:Griezmann's role in the team is two. He plays his natural role and then slots into the Kante role easily when needed. Like someone said earlier, this is supposed to be what Iheanacho does for the GWG without a Coach needing to shout this from the bench. Pogba even hyped Antoine on his IG moments ago. I'll always cherish his kind of player. Esp for that Clown dance

Mujtahida:Sometimes i used to imagine that things can work but the politics and backdoor palava always upsets the flow. Anyways, with serious foresight, 3 years is enough to restore factory settings and make that dead league become a continental force once again. |

COOL10:There's something I don't understand about the officiating.. We saw some foot stomping incidents in a lot of games that were overlooked by the referees. But yet, at the AFCON,such incidents when reviewed by VAR were punishable with a red card.. We saw it with Iwobi..Also at the women AFCON,Nigeria got two red cards in the semi final against Morocco because of that.. I'm confused..Do African referees have a different interpretation of the rule regarding that kind of foul or what? The thing no clear... |

I wonder how the Moroccans escaped red cards today! I do think the ref was lenient cos na Arab country host am. Iwobi's tackle against Tunisia was not even as bad yet he was given a red card! The only way Morocco will win anything in Africa is as a host with the help of VAR! Any Nigerian supporting Morocco needs to get his head checked. Cheated at Super Falcons at AFCON, Rivers United, and Bayelsa Queens. I do not wish them well in anything! |

daveP:North African teams can be very annoying to play against. I was even surprised that the Moroccan fans didn't take their lasers along with them to the world cup. Very cunning people. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by COOL10(m): 1:36am On Dec 15, 2022 |
Danielnino00:Well, there could be a whole lot of possibilities or reasons for that but as we all know: THIS IS AFRICA; and whether we'd like to admit it or not, bribery/corruption sits on top of that list when it comes to this continent. If I remember correctly, that WAFCON semifinal against Morocco had about 2 or 3 Moroccan officials in the VAR room. Obviously, they'll support their team. I remember a Moroccan player commiting the exact same foul but she was excused. If you're playing a North African team in North Africa, just expect anything. Those guys are brutal with their cunning antics. If only Nigerians would start repaying them in their own coin... |

komekn:Thank you, while these guys may have the coaching badges, I did a google search on their coaching careers and there's nothing impressive there at all. Efan is excelling in media no doubt but no coaching job yet. Now I agree absolutely that these guys were all good players in their days except for Akinbiyi who I don't know much about. |

AndSunGorilla:Yes Efan Ekoku is more of a media man,my good friend Seyi Olofinjana is into sport administration but John Salako into coaching.Yes Ade Akinbiyii is a coach but i can't really say much about him.I think i will pick John Salako. |

I'm currently watching a PVR recording of the Frances Morocco match. Man oh man, the French picked these guys a part in the 1st half |

Ppogbae:I think the early goal unsettled them. As I had written earlier, I believe the three half fit defenders shouldn't have started, they didn't last more than the first half. Also it seems Bono could have done better with that first goal. |

Kog45:But even John hasn't coached since like 2016. He had a stint at Crystal Palacd U16 then one season as senior team coach and nothing since then. |

At the beginning before the start of the world cup when I said that the French were formidable I knew what I was saying. To think they have gotten to the final without the services of Benzema, Kante, Nkunku and Pogba makes it that more impressive this feat of reaching the finals. If Mbappe nabs a second World Cup title then he will most definitely be in the GOAT conversation. |

chrisooblog:Even if he wins, I don't see how that brings Mbappe into the GOAT conversation. We are talking greatest of all time here not world best. Only four players out of the myriad of great players come within that conversation - Pele, Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo. Abi this GOAT thing na everyday commodity? |

Bros to inspire your country to reach 2 world cup finals and probably win both in this modern era no be beans. Why else do we hail greats like Pele and Maradona if not their world cup performances? Mujtahida: |

Griemann is the unsung hero of that French team, dude is best described as box-to-box attacking midfielder His energy, his foresight, his sleek moves and his passes are too good to be ignored Ppersonally I pick him as my man of the tournament for France Kudos Griezmann! |
