When are they going to install the tolllgate?

Nigeria needs to start tolling all its Trunk A roads and bridges so they can use the money generated from there to maintain it.

However, the toll shouldn't be more than #200 per vehicle.

Lekki-Ajah Expressway is the best road in Lagos - thanks to tollgate.

Travel Mr man, you need to travel please.

Stop saying what you don't know. How is lekki-ajah expressway the best in Nigeria?

While I have no issues with toll,Lekki Epe expressway is currently riddled with pot holes and is in a horrible state.

Nigeria is rich enough to maintain roads without tolls. Obasanjo knew it and dismantled tolls on federal roads.

Despite widespread corruption, Nigeria is not really that rich. If we were a country of 20mln, then maybe, but not 230mln!!

Watch as a certain man who claimed he built Lagos claims the second Niger Bridge as part of his achievements.

That's what all other west African countries are doing on their highway except Nigeria.
Look at east west road highway nothing to write about.

Lol, a road that is properly constructed will last 30-50 years without needing maintenance and during that period, the contractor fixes any failed portion. So what are the tolls for? Or are you trying to say the Nigerian government can not afford to maintain roads once every 30 years and they can always tap into the debt market to fund it. This thing only needs responsibility and prudent fund deployment.

Lord have mercy,
It took this failed nation 43years to complete a 1.6km bridge embarassed
After all the embezzlement & corruption by this administration this one would definitely stand out as one high achievement tueh

Wasted resources.

We Igbos don't need this. Jubrin el Sudani should take this rubbish bridge which won't allow the free flow of big container vessels through Biafran states down to his Northern brothers.

The bridge is even tolled. Our next Endsars campaign will begin from that tollgate, just like the Lekki toll gate and when Biafra is realised we will dismantle the useless bridge that is nothing but a bribery for Ndigbo to participate in the zoo election. angry angry angry

See maximum wailing!!!

I give it zero percent Ian terms of eastheics, for crying out loud this is supposed to be a national project, they should have taken a look at how iconic the first bridge is and build something better for tourism sakes, what happened to suspension bridges ,and all those iconic bridges with cables? Nigeria has really lost its style.

Aboguedu, we are talking of major infrastructural work and here you are talking of 30k per month. My Gardner earn 50k per month, just to let you know we are not in the same league.

Your Ibo/Igbo/IPOB mindset of wailing, lies, innuendos, propaganda, fraud, drug and crime have infested your brain and can’t think straight.
Re: Second Niger Bridge Opens To Vehicular Movements by Aboguede(m): 11:01am On Dec 16, 2022
I don't necessarily assume that u are poor monitary and yes you are very poor because I know what is poverty and who you are does not take away the fact that Nigeria has not been growing for ages.

What infrastructure are u talking about?, Onitsha is one of the largest commercial markets in Africa and the second largest in Nigeria after lagos but look at we celebrating a common single fly over which is over due since 50 years ago and you with ur empty brain is talking about North and south or igbo and hausa or Yoruba. An expired political fallacy. I dey shame for u shocked ur kind encourage nigeria's monkey money miss Road demon induced politicians to pack Nigeria's public common wealth and dump it in foreign countries with no use nor plan to ever be used for no reason just like abacha, tinubu and the lots of them animals in human skin.

Nigeria has both the interlectual and resource capital to be among the best performing economise in the third world following after India, Brazil etc. But because we as ordinary citizens have accepted to be cowards who simply contended with just food, we no longer aspire for greatness as nation.

Look at Africa, Nigeria is supposed to be above South Africa, Egypt and Morocco in economic growth but here we are competing with Ghana, Benin Republic and Co.

Let me help ur weak Brian, life is not interesting if man is born just to eat. We are higher Animals simply because we see beyond our stomach but with people like you who are previlaged to have it easy by nature but has dull brains, people who are happy just because they have enough to eat and see no reason for physical advancement nor spiritual illumination, Nigeria is merely an existing nation with no hope on seat shocked

Feel ur stomach and drink ur head to emptiness and stock money for ur children but remember u are as insignificant on Earth as a gala hocker as long as you make no enviable change in human history.

Las Las
na everybody go chop breakfast grin

Wow, clap for your self. Impressed with your vituperations and missive above. Yes, you are right that Nigeria is not where she should be and have a lot to do.

However, the problem or the hold back from Nigeria reaching her goal is "we the people". We complain about corruption and yet we are quick to bribe our way through any situation, we complain about the economy and yet we are looking to be employed instead of been an employer of labor. We wail and complain about government not doing enough and yet failed to hold our governors responsible but rather blamed the Federal government. I can go on and on but I belief that you get my point.

I decided to start my own engineering company many years ago and by the Grace of God we have been an employer of labor for the past twenty-five (25) years without any contract from the three levels of government. I intentionally shunned government contracts.

You see the difference between me and you is that I am appreciative. I appreciate that the government completed the second Niger bridge, whether its 1-km or whatever distance that it is. It has been completed and people that leave and use that area cannot enjoy a free flowing traffic instead of the one choke hold bridge before. Roads are been rehabilitated/constructed, trains are running effectively ("we the people" still damaging and finding a short cut to paying for the ticket), power generation and supply has improved, etc. These are quantifiable improvements by the government.

Yes, we are not where we are supposed to be and people lives might not have been impacted (partly because the social intervention programs are been sabotaged and corrupted again by "we the people"wink but the government is a continuum, let the next government continue where it is left off.
Re: Second Niger Bridge Opens To Vehicular Movements by Aboguede(m): 6:09pm On Dec 16, 2022
I can only have respect for ur age but definitely not ur mindset and I will be stupid to blame you after having a little knowledge about your chances.

You have the odercity to claim that you are appreciative simply because you had some unsolicited previlages in life after all you set up a company no matter its size and you and I know the cost but can you imagine where u would be if you were born by the road side having maybe a single parent who could not even feed him/her self talk less of feeding you from day one? I can bet my last girlfriend that if the later was your case, God knows where you would be at this age and what your mindset would look like.

Listen oga, we all know that Nigeria's problems are it's leadership over many years but the biggest fear is people like you who by unsolicited luck have it easier in life and maybe benefit from the unjustified inhuman behaviour of Nigeria's leadership delima one way or another therefore you would rather die a liar than being honest to reality in Nigeria's case.

My father worked as teacher to death with almost "0" benefit leaving people like me to become adult from 8 years of age. He worked for about 30years and died in active service because of minor illness which was as a result of overwork and underpay and this is a fraction of what people face in Nigeria and here I am in my 30's still trying to stamp my feet on a very average despite my resilience and hard work to give my self formal education from childhood with 0 assistance or what so ever.

Yes, I am proud to be my self because I know I am a real self making man and I envy no overfed babies. After all, I am the best of who I can be for what I had therefore I can beat my chest and praise my self.

I have been a free spirited Nigerian for 30 plus years and I have also travelled about 60% of this entire world and I can sincerely tell you that Nigerian leaders has chosen to be foolish demons with no pride or ego of any kind.

Nigeria is considered a joke and insignificant even in the lowest parts of this world and this delima befalls both the previlaged Nigerians and non previlaged ones therefore we as a people should hide our face in shame and that includes you and includes dangotes, adenugas, orgis, and the rest of who ever that is claiming big coward in a shit hole grin
