A total massacre of all igbos should be declared in Guyana.

when one Nigerian Muslim tried to blow up a plane some years back, they declared a total massacre of all Muslims abi. Continue with your low level way of thinking. I know most of the people that just open their mouth to say nonsense are either secondary school students or just plain stupid because they don't think before talking.

Frustration that you have lived abroad for 10 years but unable to send $100 home to your parents for Xmas.

Nigerians in Guyana need to be extra careful because of this incident

Wow. At this point, Igbos need to reason and ask themselves what is wrong with them as a people...

I suspect the guy was desperate for money and he was contracted to do the assassination. A little country like Guyana will now start stigmatizing Nigerians! This is very bad... Very very bad! angry
even as an assassin he did a very bad job. Why would u face the security detail of the president head on and be shouting where is the president with a knife in your hand

Hired Assasin or just a crazy developer guy?

Then the person that hired him wasted his money. I don't think he was hired. He went in there knowing he wouldn't succeed. He knew he'd likely get killed, yet he went in. It doesn't appear to be well planned. There was too much emotion involved (anger, sadness, desperation, frustration, etc.). So I'd say it's a crime of passion. The president might have put a policy in place that cost the guy something or someone very valuable to him. It might even more personal than that. We may never get to know. The fact remains that he acted foolishly. Soon, a tiny country like Guyana will start kicking out Nigerians too. Sad.

The ethnic group of the attacker isn't confirmed yet as the name 'Bethl Chineze' is very rare among Ndigbo. There's a need for further investigation to confirm his identity.
The usual haters have gone on overdrive on seeing an Igbo sounding name. I hope they'd tender apology if it is confirmed he's not an Igbo man.
Below is another report about the same attack. From this report, his name was given more clearly as Bethel Chinze. This is more clearly an Igbo name. Further information about him though show that he isn't a ruffian as he was actively employed in a company.
Below is the report

GPF engaging Interpol as probe continues into shooting/stabbing incident at State House
December 15, 20220

Bethel Chinze

As police continue their investigation into the attack at State House earlier today, Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum told INews that the Guyana Police Force is engaging Interpol to ascertain if the Nigerian suspect, 25-year-old Bethel Chinze, has any criminal records.

INews understands that Chinze arrived in Guyana on March 13, 2020 and is presently employed with a cleaning service company.

The suspect, who was shot by presidential guards after trying to invade State House, underwent emergency surgery and his condition is regarded as stable.

According to information reaching this publication, the shooter presented himself at State House’s security checkpoint at Carmichael Street at around 07:30hrs and requested to speak with President Dr Irfaan Ali, but was told by security, that he has to be processed.

At the time, he was carrying a pouch. The suspect reportedly opened the pouch, took out a black-handled knife and attacked one of the guards, Telon Perriera who sustained five stab wounds.

The injured guard reportedly held onto the suspect and a scuffle ensued. Chinze managed to disarm a female security officer and discharged several rounds.

Another security officer then opened fire, hitting the suspect who eventually collapsed.

Both the injured guard and the suspect were taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Perriera was treated and admitted. President Dr. Irfaan Ali has since met with the relatives of the guard during a visit to the hospital.

There's nowhere on earth you won't find Nigerians.

Lol... you not knowing them is on you. Though poor, Guyana is a popular country in South America because it is the only English speaking country on the continent (it is different from French Guyana).

They have been 2 coups in South America in the past 3 weeks.

This is due to Russian sanctions so they are replacing presidents of South American countries so they sell oil to USA and Euroup. It is CIA job and that Nigeria is a scapegoat.

I'm actually well read, but sincerely never come across the country until today.

An elder in Kaduna once told me, anywhere you travel to in this world and don't find at least one Igbo man within 10 kilomters, either owning a shop or a home, pack up your bags and leave.

That assertion has to be enshrined in the Nigerian constitution. Those people can spread sha!

You left Nigeria just to go to another person’s land to kill their president

Instead of you to go to aso rock or campaign ground and kill the person we hate

And you could not reason that the young man could have developed mental problems. Even the people said that he appeared agitated.

Are Nigerians living in Nigeria not showing more than enough madness already, with their suffering, hardship, poverty and sorrow under this APC government?

Meanwhile, see how beautiful the hospital is and Dem no get oil

Really? .... heard of El Dorado? ... that was in Guyana where gold was literally found on the surface and Europeans rushed in. Today there is another find and another rush .... oil rush ... huge reserves of top quality oil have been recently found ... and more being found .... EXXONMOBIL hogging the finds. These companies are now scaling down operations in Nigeria and other countries .... their focus is Guyana. Of late.... beginning last month.... UK has made it Visa free for Guyanese for a stay of up to 6 months..... all in a bid to get in on the oil. Dem no get oil? .... now you know better.

@ topic ..... I'm almost sure this guy lost his mind trapped in Guyana either on his way .... or from Brazil. I'm also almost sure they will grill him to find out if he really lost it.... or was sent by someone.
