How is derivatives added at the nvc stage?, I would like to add my spouse to my case too

I used the inquiry page and asked for them to update it. I included a copy of my marriage cert and baby’s birth cert and their international passports. I haven’t gotten any feedback yet.

Won't the information be conflicting, can't it cause any significant problem during interview? Or should I just stick with the employment start date on my I140?
I am particularly concerned because I may be asked to present my current employment letter on the interview day

Maybe you should have an explanation for the one on your I140? Like, it is your probation date or intern start date. Then the one on your DS260 form is the actual date of your full employment as in your employment letter.

Always remember both dates on the two forms especially the one on your I140.

Is it possible to expedite my case before becoming dq?

Yes it is possible as long as you have a concrete reason for expediting your case it would be reviewed and once approved it would skip the nvc stage and be forwarded directly to the embassy but note you should have filled out your DS-260 form, paid all fees and submitted all necessary documents.

Yes they have. It was exactly as indicated by the processing time tracker for inquiries.

I got DQ on September 11, 2022. Interview Letter on September 28, 2022. My interview date is November 28th, 2022. So, exactly 2 weeks from DQ to IL and exactly 2 months from IL to Interview date.
I'm curious to hear how other people's have gone. If you've recently got IL and ID, please share your dates too to help others gauge how long they'll have to wait for.

Thank you! It was supposed to be expedited, but I got the interview letter before we could expedite. I did not choose the date myself. The date was already on the interview letter. If the date is inconvenient for you, you can call/email the Lagos US embassy to reschedule for a later date, but I wouldn't advise it. Try to make your interview date at all costs even if it means getting there the day before and sleeping on the road lol.

It took my case 2.5 months to be transferred from USCIS to NVC. It typically should take a month, but USCIS forgot to transfer the case until I contacted them to find out the status.

Wow!!! Mine was transferred within 2 weeks (3rd of October) but I am yet to hear anything from NVC. Can I contact NVC??

Lol imagine. There are alot of others too viewing this thread in guest and ghost mode. I'm not sure there's anything bad If everyone of them come here and drop some hints on how far they've gone.
But people are waiting on others to feed them info when it could as well have been a collective effort

From what I have read so far, if your case was expedited, you will have to contact the embassy by yourself or book appointment by yourself. But with recent backlog at lagos embassy, you will need to mail the embassy. Or better still call the embassy.

PD November 2021, DQ February 2022.
After waiting for an appointment for six months, we made an expedited request in August 2022 and got approval notice a week later. Our case file arrived the US consulate in Lagos at the end of August. We contacted the consulate via email (lagosiv@state.gov) and they asked us to create an account, register a profile and schedule our appointment on http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng.

We have been trying to schedule an appointment since then but there are no appointments available. In fact I have been checking the website every six hours as advised but nothing yet. We even asked for help from agents but none has been able to help. I understand the U.S. consulate is short staffed and there’s a lot of backlog. So it’s still a waiting game for us. That’s our experience so far, hopefully we’ll get an appointment soon.
