Is like you don't know how voting in the north is especially in those places. They have been voting Anpp and whatever due to Buhari and Buhari is not contesting any more, the north does not do party, they do candidate and that's why you see small parties winning

Bauchi in particular has a very remarkable style of politics, from Isa Yuguda to M.A in 2015 to Kaura in 2019 (even after giving Buhari more than 700k votes), you can't use govship candidates to decipher who will win Bauchi and Gombe.

Besides, you should be fearful that SB Baba is on Atiku's good books hence why Kaura is jittery. Bauchi deserve more than Kaura, they should do the needful.
