It is anti people policy

I laugh when some were saying let the policy remained till after the election. The dumbest argument I've ever seen.

What is the total number of those aspiring for political office in Nigeria compare to the well-meaning Nigerians that the policy will have affected between now and after the general election if we hadn't resisted it?

2 hours only could be a hell of long time for someone fighting for his life talkmore of a policy they were advocating to last for a couple of months.

If that is even the case, can you as an investor, invest in a country with policy summersaults?

All this SS one economics cannot save the naira, only being productive will.

Your lawmakers are the politicians that has been making life difficult for Nigerians for decades.

Whenever you see them fighting this hard, just know it is for their own benefit not for the people. The masses have been crying over police brutality till date, your lawmakers don move an inch?

Something that would affect POS business is anti people

Pos business is the reason why ATMs don't work anymore,
Can you image even bank securities have pos during the weekend they don't let the ATMs work for their own purpose.

The cash withdrawal limit is anti-people.
It is a ploy to control the finances of everybody, and was probably suggested by a foreign or international organization.
It is a potentially dangerous situation. It should not be implemented.

How did I turn it into a tribal issue? The poor Igbos who are useless are thinking it hurts politicians when it hurts the businesses of their brothers who are wealthy traders.
The stupidity of poor Igbos is a problem for wealthy Igbos.

The new currency is restricted, yet Tinubu was caught on camera distributing it with glee.

While he practices his corruption, the association of traitors and national enemy, represented by ihordspy and , are trying to turn attention from Tinubu's evil to attack Peter Obi, who they once called structureless.

Every evil you guys defend Will fall upon you and your family members

With all the explanation ... if you are moving to a cash less society then you need to be phasing out cash ... not redesigning and introducing new bills. Im surprised no one raised this .... th3y just sat there and swallowed what she had to say ....... maybe something is wrong with my reasoning.

Someone will transfer money and it won’t go through but will surely be debited.

These rogues are the reason why this country will never develop. Look at them speaking as if they care about the masses. They are only angry they will be forced to release all the money they have stashed away for the elections and that they will have limits on how much they can withdraw to buy votes as usual during the next elections. These is basically their grouse and not all these show of fake support for the masses.
The policy will scuttle most of their devious plans. Take Emilokan for example. The man has gathered enough war-chest of raw cash. This policy is certainly troubling them in that demonic coven of devils called APC.

Some people are shouting it's a useless policy. Who said you can't transfer over ₦100k to ₦5m and even more online to pay your bills? This policy is to promote the use of the eNaira app and limit physical cash movements.

These policies are anti-thuggery, anti-theft, and anti-rig...and clearly geared towards the election and a step to better Nigeria. Bribery is sweet to politicians when it's physical cash...no evidences.

Maybe...just maybe..Nigeria will be great if strong hearts make more strong policies that affect greedy politicians. It could increase the value of naira with time too.

Look at how the politicians are shouting! This should tell you that politicians don't care about your life. When you see them fighting, the policy is really a good one.

You are the one exposing your ignorance to the world.

Cashless policy was initiated in 2012 ten years ago. Nigerians have been given ample time to adjust to it. Rural dwellers don't deal with much cash anyway so Uncle please explain how this is a policy somersault?

The problem with you Nigerians is you always refuse to change unless you are forced to. What is so difficult for those businesses to acquire POS and enable cashless payment for their products.

In fact many people there will embrace transfers more because as the new notes are released fake notes will also be released.

Bros no need to fight it. Cashless is here to stay. It has been 10 years since this policy was introduced. Once upon a time people didn't believe in ATM and POS but now they are everywhere. The same thing will happen with transfers. All government needs to focus on with the telecoms is continuously improving network coverage and quality.

Emefiele has a lot he is hiding. Why waited for 7years to start a policy that is less than 6 months to take over of a new government. Why can't he wait for the new government to approve such decisions. They want to do cover up. It will take England more than a year yet Emefiele wants it to happen in Nigeria in 3months. Why the rush ?

cash limit is not anti-people no doubt, but the issue is our banking system is not yet there, can you imagine armed robbers forcing POS operators to transfer money to another account( probably their own) still yet the bank won't be able to track and arrest the criminalslipsrsealed.
The above example means that the purpose of the cashless policy is defeated because the law is supposed to help fight financial crime. I lost 96k which is not my money via card fraud and the bank refuse to block the account or even do anything to the heartless criminal.

I lost 50k because GT said there is nothing they can do on an erroneous transfer due to system error (terminal went blank) and transaction was retried, since I don't have an account with them.
GT said I should go and meet the Merchant through which I sent the money.
Merchant said I should get a court order and mail it to them.
Lawyers are demanding for 30/40k to help with a court order, one even demanded for 60k.
I pleaded with one to accept 25k which he did, but he has always been telling me he is not available.
Stanbic ATM card has been failing on POS terminals for almost 2weeks now
Yet we want everyone to go cashless in a month

Me I don't know the reason for cashless policy in Nigeria, many people have face same issues, in the US Once is bank transfer or credit card, the person will be trace. Kidnappers, boko haram re all using the banking system but still we don't know the sponsors after almost 10 yrs... If the limit is because of election fine I'm cool with it, after the election let them remove the restriction.

Cashless policy is a useless policy as far as Nigeria is concerned. Anyone supporting is nothing but a big dunce.

When push comes to shove, the last thing I want is to be left at the mercy of the unstable banking apps network.

Me and my bank don fight tire this month alone. I wonder what will happen when that becomes the most used channels for transactions

I understand that... it is not the first time new notes were introduced... the old notes are always phased out over time.... but we were never moving into a cashless society.... the reason the notes were replaced. If now .owing into a cashless society ... why introduce new notes and replace the old notes instead of phasing out notes period? ... how are you making it cashless by maintaining the same amount of cash?
