Stop lying! Nobody was shot at Lekki Toll gate.
Shots were fired in the air to disperse the rioters. Govt has a right, no, a duty to disperse the rioters immediately they start infringing on other people's rights.
No one was shot really? May Nigeria befall you and your entire family. Since you choose to lie in this way.

"Is your age in December 2022 the same as it was in 2015? Haven't you grown up? If you have increased in years since 2025, for example, why should you expect a different growth rate for fuel and rice? I'm sure your mind is too thin to grasp the logic of that!"
So if for example,in 2015, u raped and killed a girl and went to jail for 7 years, does it automatically erase any old records of ur past evil deed jus because u repented and were released in 2022? Truth remains that for a 1000 yrs,a family lost a woman because of ur action. Do beta nxt time.

Removing the subsidy 2012 when the economy was still manageable and people still had it good would've been far better than now when the economy is so harsh and biting real bad... removing it now would be so disastrous for the common man..
It has to be done and it would've been better if it was removed long ago.

As for you people who see white and turn it into black,it is only God that will have mercy on you.
Nigeria's economy wasn't supposed to be manageable then, 2012, but very good and that was the problem. The people were not confident with the government.
There was so much waste and frivolous spending by the government that they were not trusted to be given more while people pay for it. Nigerians went out en masse, not just Tinubu or APC. A government that was lavishing billions and now gave people New Year gift of pump price increase and subsidy removal. It was a very insensitive timing with no cushion which was very affordable. You must know Farouk Lawan, no?
Re: Tinubu: I Will Remove Fuel Subsidy, Your Protests Won’t Stop Me by Babawee: 12:57pm On Dec 23, 2022
My simple question is after subsidy removal...how much will we be getting fuel like 400-500 per litre
That will even add more to the high price of goods and services
Let's be considerate for once and leave party diversity out of these
The only thing a common Nigerian benefits from the government
Where will they channel the money to
I believe it's to embezzle it and share it and the inflation persist
Let's think deep
Let's vote wisely
Let's look out for a better Nigeria

Timing is very important in decision making, you seem to be oblivious to this simple fact.
The only reason you are in support of this timing is cos Ur "baba blue lemon plus" god says this is the best time and nothing else.

Tell me why 2023 is a better time for removing the subsidy than 2012. I'll wait

And we'll all agree with the decision of Nigerians.

They want someone who will lie to them later n shenk them with reality when the going gets tough

Where is the 65 naira per litre buhari promised them?

Where is the heaven buhari promised them?

But here is someone saying it as it is but they want sweet lies

Irrespective of whoever becomes president subsidy will b removed, that’s just d bitter truth we have to tell ourselves
but the same tinubu and apc where the ones who denied the existence of subsidy and protested vehemently when GEJ wanted to remove it.

Oluropo Amoda Yekini has spoken.

Is it only subsidy we can remove to save money? If corruption, the root of all leakages making subsidy burdensome cannot be handled or tamed considerably, it means corruption has every tight to intercept the saved subsidy money when eventually removed.

The thunder that will potentially fire some people is running on diesel engine.

It’d be unreasonable for anyone to protest again fuel subsidy now.

Fuel subsidy must go for the greater good to come.
Corruption should go first.nigerians can't afford #800 per litre of fuel in a country we produce crude .
Diesel cost #850 kerosene $750.
There are alternative for them just imagine how we can survive there weren't

If you like, call him bingo not just Yekini. That guy is your next president, God sparing our lives. Are you unaware that the subsidy itself is corruption personified?

Timing is what determines if you can eat your food or not. If you take it out too soon or too late, it's not the same taste and quality. This is so basic i feel worried having to break it down.
Nigerians came out en masse to protest and show their displeasure when the federal government announced the removal of the fuel subsidy, around the time the contents of the 2012 budget revealed excessive amounts given to frivolities.
Shut up with this your useless timing rubbish. What timing was better than 2012? Fuel subsidy that has been an issue of debate since Obasanjo administration is what you are claiming rubbish timing. You are here claiming frivolities in budget in 2012 as if the Jonathan Administration did not lay down plans on what they would use the subsidy money for. It’s kind of funny that it’s coming from a party that spearheaded sharing and spending of excess crude oil funds only for their governors to still fail to pay salaries.

So it’s now that is the perfect time abi? Fuel subsidy saga we should have forgotten about many years ago you are hear shouting timing. Abeg rest jare

Listen to yourself...

Please, what has changed today??!

Absolutely nothing!!!

All Buhari and Tinubu needed to do then was simply to help encourage Nigerians accept the reality of the futuristic benefits of the removal then instead of leading the opposition against it...

But no, they needed GEJ to fail so that they would win the next election, forgetting a nation's progress is beyond politics!

Coming from someone who sponsored protest against subsidy removal in 2012. Now he's found his party in power and can't support subsidy removal for 8years now. Posterity will always judge.
