He's Absolutely right!

But I feel everyone has a point of view when it comes to this topic.

Especially those who grew up with nothing and got rich
He's not right, he's not wealthy that's why. How much does he has in his account?
For example ordinarily, calculate 35 billion dollars at the rate of 200k dollars every day and see how many years it will take to finish it.
Wealthy people like to transfer wealth to their children just to keep that name still generations to come.

Inherited wealth is hard to maintain. For one, whoever got it might not have the business acumen of the owner. For another, it's really hard to control a huge lump sum, if you haven't been handling such already.
But, his method is wrong. The best way to do it is to educate your child on the business that brings in the bucks. Involve them in the business from a tender age. Every school holiday should be spent in the office as an "intern". Imagine being an "intern" from the age 10 till the child graduates Uni, he would have learnt all the tricks in the business and then, he can handle the affairs better.
At that rate you end up compelling children into a walk of life they have not chosen for themselves. It still will not bode well. Quality education is enough legacy for one's offspring. With that they can navigate the times and forge their own path. Zidane and Maradona are great players, yet none of their kids could make an in road in professional football career. Imagine if forcing them to become footballers was what their formation was based on entirely.

I totally agree with him.
Nobody left any wealth for me. Yet he absence of any inheritance became a huge advantage for me.
I intend to bequeath a solid structure for my kids to succeed on their own in life, and nothing more

Believe this one at your own peril. He is trying to mimick Bill Gates and co.
Let him go and pay his staff better salaries if he feels he's earned excess.

This isn't about copying others, why I also referred to that is because it's always been the better one, this is also a common knowledge in the financial world, what happened to training them kids to be qualified to handle those critical positions, better still make it optional for them until they are old enough to make decisions.

What gives a parent the right to determine how a child should live their life. The fact that a parent has wealth should not mean his child cannot decide to be a soldier ,footballer, boxer or a teacher . Money , bringing in bucks and business may be YOUR priority does not mean it will be for your child
It is presumptuous to say he IS WRONG. Who are you to say that?

Take this advice and see ur children curse u in the grave.

Leaving an inheritance is Biblically good...the problem with Nigerians is that they only leave inheritance to children when they are about dying when it should have been the other way round.

Give ur childeen inheritance when they are much younger and guide them to manage money earlier than expecting to wait till ur death.

If inherited wealth is a burden, what should we call inherited poverty?
Re: I Won't Leave Much Wealth For My Kids - Jason Njoku by jaxxy(m): 9:45pm On Dec 23, 2022
Absolutely Nothing wrong with inherited wealth pls. Don't blame the inherited wealth bt the training u passed on to ur kids.

Everybody is not ment to suffer from scratch to be wise or productive.

Let ur kids inherit not just ur wealth bt ur sense and good character/values also.

Everybody wants to form bill Gates not knowing bill Gates living nothing for his kids still makes his kids 100times more than the average person.

Those are billionaires in dollars, their kids can never be poor even if they give out most of their wealth. The rich are not stupid.
