Ijaws communities are the least developed in the entire south south region,despite the availability of crude oil and gas exploration taking place in and around their abode.
They are quick to point accusing fingers at the federal government being the course of their plight of abject neglect and deprivations.
If you visit Baylesa state,the only state wholly inhabited by the ijaws(former president good luck Jonathan's state),you will break down with disappointment,as,yenegoa,the only city and capital out of the nine local government areas in the state is an eyesore and in shambles compared with the status of being tagged a major oil producing state.
The ijaws nation has benefited more from the federal government than any single ethnic group in the south south region, through NDDC, Amnesty payments, training and scholarship,yet,it does not replicate in their communities.
There's is no single ijaws leader that has built,or supported any developmental projects in ijawland, except Chief Government Ekpemekpolo alias Tompolo.
they are just there to siphon the oil money,their traditional rulers are no exception,they are all compánies,state and federal contractors.Most elected representatives of ijaw extraction have spent more than three tenors in office with nothing to show,in most ijaw villages,their children still learn under trees and sits on bare floors to learn

To make matters worse they've produced a president in the person of Good luck Ebele Jonathan,he worked in the north and neglected his home.

Good luck Jonathan's problem was that he was adviced by his household enemies to concentrate in developing the north so as to get their voters for his second tenure.This made him to loose sight of his home, thinking,a Fulani/Hausa will leave their own and vote for him

Now that Politicians are visiting their slumps canvassing for votes, You will be surprised that instead of laying the cards on the table for them,they will be collecting money, importantly,the ijaw nations always deliver block votes,that was why BAT paid a visit to Oporoaza last month

No, Baylesa state had their regular federal allocations and 13% derivation funds,What i am saying here is that,as a president,there should be some outstanding developmental projects in your state,a state of the medical centre is being built in president buharis home town now , charity,they say begins from home.
Remember,i am referring to the whole ijaw nations and not only Bayelsans

Epie, Ekpetiama, Gbarian, Buseni and Zarama. Yenegoa is not in the IJAw LGAs of Bayelsa. Bayelsa is made up of many small tribes, ijaw being one of the small tribes. Outsiders think the whole thing is Ijaw because they are known since they had a president, but Epie etc will resent you if you call them Ijaw

They are Ijaw sub ethnic nationalities, nobody knows them, every large ethnic groups have them.Igbo, Hausa and Yorubas have them but they are small and relatively unknown.

I can’t speak for GEJ, but I remember a time, in Ijaw, a road was being built or something, and the people requested to be settled before the road will pass. Omo, the govt shift oohh…

Could that have been the case? You see, ijaw people don’t need any federal projects to some, the money they collect (traditional leaders and leaders) as royalties is enough to create a dubai.

You can’t possibly tell me that even though shell pays directly to FG, royal fathers and their boys are not settled?
