I went to market this morning for Xmas shopping, to my own surprise, the only cheap chicken you can get is spent (old) layers which is around #4500.00 to #6500... Old layers is going for that price because it is really not nourishing meat again. After laying eggs for 12-15 months, the meat of old layers is not that tasty or nutritious. Some old layers are being sold for 3,500 naira in Lagos. Hmn. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
