So pathetic.I read it on newspaper.Some dailies have it that 10 people died and several wounded.Same carnival they warned people not to attend because of security intelligence report.After my first and second witnessing of the Calabar carnival,I stopped going to view it .

I just don't even have words to describe this particular matter, these government officials and their convoys have always been reckless in driving and I don't even blame anyone for not trying to find out what really caused this particular accident. Unfortunately it was not the convoy of the government official that killed that couple. It was one of those passenger Sienna vehicle. It tried overtaking a truck and got it wrong, it got itself in a tight corner and tried to maneuver its way through, hitting the couple on the bike, Unfortunately for the convoy, the bike was just beside their convoy and the impact threw them onto the vehicle the woman was in, which was in-between the pilot vehicle infornt and the escort vehicle at the rear. Her convoy even had to stop to check on the victims but as usual, lots of area boys around came to blame the person with the government vehicle while the sienna that killed those people ran away. It would have been an uglier scene if not for few people who saw what really happened and intervened cos her vehicle was already being vandalised even with the security men attached to her. Its just unfortunate. Wish the family of the couple strength to go through this kind of thing.
