There was a time I had similar experience, what I did is simple, I checked my data usage and I realized my Twitter app used almost all the data so I thought it was airtel problem.
Immediately I changed my sim to mtn with about one gig data on it, within 6min, I went to check data usage and I realized Twitter have used upto 600mb again, Immediately I removed the app and i decided to access Twitter on Chrome tab and I have not experienced such again.

My observation
Most of this app like Twitter have their inbuilt browser where you are directed to when you click a web link, I could remember clicking a link to watch live match on Twitter, I guess the link is still active within Twitter browser but i cant close it after i navigated back Twitter trend list.
Also, most of the video you see on Twitter are heavy, so if you watch video online, they chop data depending on the device that recorded those videos. You can see a 10 sec video that can be upto 10mb and another of about 2min that won't be more than 2mb

Recommendation,
Find the app using more data, un-install and re -install.
Also, incase of Twitter, click the data saver option so that you can choose the video you want to play from their size instead of auto play.

I thought I was the only one experiencing this. I guess the fault is from glo. Maybe they did a system upgrade that finishes data almost immediately one subscribes. It doesn't use to happen like this before. And when you call their customer care, there's nothing they can do about it.

Forget about Glo. Buy data and you'll wait forever to access it.
I complained to them, they couldn't do anything about it. I bought another Glo sim and discovered that it's like a culture for Glo to scam Nigerians of their data.
I jejely left them and went elsewhere. As I am writing this, my two Glo lines have been inactivated.

I experienced the same thing with my Airtel,got frustrated to a point I couldn't take it any longer had to look for data saving app...

I ended up with DATALLY APP FROM GOOGLE, work like magic save your data real time...

It is looking like there are sabotage on the Glo network and the Glo don't know.

If you load a Glo data plan it doesn't activate asap unless you switch off the network on your phone and switch back in say two minutes time. It is only then you can receive the data activation message and your usage can commence.

Many people are not aware of this. some other network is doing something to affect Glo network negatively.

Glo network should take this my observation as a complaint and check with a view to correct asap.

Someone else has shared your data without your knowledge.

My usage of the Glo network compared to others, Glo network offers the best of data services and it is getting better.

Other networks are rogue, MTN is fair sha.

Most of the other networks will pack your data into the cloud and expect you to request again for its usage by paying for a text message with your request. I consider that double payment.

check your shared data. Some parasitic friends or family or even unknown people may have attached themselves to your data without u knowing.

I ended up checking my data usage and surprise surprise Chrome magically used almost 3 gig of data within like 15 minutes time frame. I didn't download anything of that size. What I do now is to turn on Data Saver. I fear I'm being hacked remotely
