I got this new 1000 naira notes like 30 pieces this morning in between many old notes.

I sorted it out and just run all through mercury light because I was in a rush to check it individually. Everything was fine.

But I was shocked when i got to the bank, I was told the golden security detail is missing on 1 of the 1000 naira notes, even though all other details were present.

It was also validated under their mercury light at the bank and it was valid.

Long story short, it was tagged fake and perforated. Could this be an error from CBN or Fake money has bypassed the mercury light check?

Ha it is fake. And this is why it should have been totally redesigned instead of repainted.

Because people who has been trying to imitate it for years will perfect it now since the change is just color.

Assuming it was redesigned totally, it would take them longer year to get the design right, and buy the time they will perfect it, a new design will come out again.

U are not serious at all. U go see where the two guys wear ankara natives

You can't stand up and make decisions without adequate preparation because u will fail woefully at the centre of your decision so that the CBN Governor should've come via preparation before embarking

that error is unlikely. Less than 1%, almost impossible.... So it is fake and not an error

How person wan take know the real 200hundred and 500hundred Naira notes now?

This is a very big concern o I said if I collect it na inside water I go put test my own but how long are we gonna go through this frustrations bc fake will be too many!? They should just keep the old notes bc this new notes are not it!

Why did you punch holes in the note. If this was a misprinted dollar bill, it will worth almost 100x the legal tender value
