Comprehend with sense please.

For a child has been born for us, a son given to us, and the government will be on his shoulder. his name will be “Wondrous counsel, God is mighty (i.e. Hezekiah), my father endures, prince of peace”.

I have no predisposition towards you or your opinion.
I noticed from your previous comments, you perceive it refers to King Hezekiah and not Jesus Christ.
I simply want to know your reason.

The reason is because that’s what the text says,
My question to you is why do you desperately want it to be Jesus Christ, a mixture of latin and greek name?

The jews that owns the books we are quoting reject your jesus from rome.

The jews didn’t create New Testament, they have no reason to, your jesus doesn’t exist outside the New Testament.
So tell me, why you think a character in New Testament is what is been referred to in tanakh?

Do the Jews believe in the prophecy of the Messiah?
If yes, who do you perceive is the Messiah?

Jews don’t speak English, what’s the origin of the word “messiah”?

Messiah, Christ, Kristos, etc
I do not speak Hebrew either, but we both understand each other cos we both understand English.

I don't believe in engaging is rigmarolic argument.
We both understand what I mean by Messiah. This discussion is not about the origin of the word Messiah.

So you do agree that the bible does teach that the Jews were promised a Messiah.
My simple question to you is "Who do you perceive is that Messiah?"

What you mean by messiah is different from what jews mean by messiah.

So i ask you to tell me the origin of the word you are using.

Bible means collection of books.
The jews have their own bible called jewish bible called tanakh which christians call Old Testament.

READ.

From our interactions here, I observed your exposure to Judaism/Old testament seems to be the basis for your rejection of Jesus Christ. Right?
Do you believe God has a redemption plan for his creation, since the fall of Adam in the Old testament?
If yes, what's your understanding of God's redemption plan?

The heart and soul of the Tanakh is the Torah. The idea of a Messiah only surfaced when the Jews longed for an anointed king who will deliver them from their enemies and end all oppression against the Jewish nation.

Messiah means anointed king or priest....

It is by no means a demi god....

Yes it is contained in 2nd chronicles 7:14...

Sincere repentance....

See also Ezekiel 18...

From all indications...jesus is not God's idea, where did the new testament authors her the idea from...?

I understand you. And you are very right.
It is the same reason the Jewish leaders (Pharisees, Saducees, Scribes) rejected Jesus Christ, and still reject him till date. (Only few Jews believe in Jesus Christ.)
Because searching through the scripture- Law and Prophets (Tanakh/Talmud/Torah) it was not clearly stated. And for a good reason.

Truth is, it is a Mystery. It is spiritual.
Had it been clearly stated, the devil would have known God's redemption plan for man.
Satan would not only have ordered 2 year olds to be killed like Herod did, he would have made sure Jesus Christ never suffered or died to fulfill and accomplish His spiritual victory.

To begin to see it in the Old testament is simple, Only when you believe in God and Jesus Christ his only begotten Son. That explains why a Christian believes it completely.

John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

If there is anything I would like you to take from our engagement today, it's to respect other people's beliefs.
I won't shove mine down your throat, I can only explain why I hold my belief.
And I respect yours. There is a reason you hold your belief too.
However, wisdom is justified by her children (results).

Kpele..sorry oh..ejoor.

You are just finding it hard to accept that Jesus is a Roman empire creation..

Probably because you have invested your whole life on it..

My dear jesus is a fictional character created by Rome to deceive gullible people and you fell for the scam....

God gave humans laws to keep and follow so that we will live in peace and enjoy our human experience. End of the day our bodies return to the earth, and our breath returns to God who owns it ..

One of the challenges in Christianity is differentiating between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.

This has created some misunderstanding and given birth to various factions and denominational doctrines within the same Christianity.

I pray that together with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Word, we will be able to clarify these differences.
I don't think it is a challenge in differentiating the Old Covenant from the New Covenant. Instead, those who profit from the Religion reject the line between both because it does not profit them and their business from making clear the differences to their many gullible followers. undecided

God Himself drew the line between the Law of Moses which happens to be the Constitution of the Nation of Israel in the Land of Canaan, which He gave the name YHWH to, and Jesus Christ, God's New Law and Constitution of the Kingdom of God that God gave only to the Lost sheep of Israel. undecided

I have invested very little compared to a lot of people. I've doubted, backslided and even strayed away.

I believe I've answered you already.

Whenever you're truly ready to find the Truth, you'll pray to God with an open, humble and repentant heart.
It's easier to do so today, cos truly tomorrow might be too late.

I did so and he told me to stay clear of idolatry..

I am doing just that..

I prayed to God. And he opened my heart, there is nothing about Christianity or new testament I don't know. I was an alter server and two time secretary of the cyon in Benin city.

So when I encountered God. He opened my eyes to the paganism in Christianity. He adviced I keep the laws and when I failed I should sincerely ask for forgiveness and he is ever ready to forgive.. and that his mercies endures forever....and if he has forgiven, he has forgiven, he does not need the blood of humans or animals. That those belong to the realm of Lucifer .What he desires is a contrite heart..
And also that we are all his children and he loves us dearly..

I do not agree with your premise simply because saying there's no difference between old and new covenant/testament means nothing changed after the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ?
And means it's pointless naming one old and the other new.

1. Perhaps the most intriguing difference between the Old and New Testament is the Way of Righteousness. This invariably leads to the understanding of Grace and Law. Before there was ever Law, which came through Moses, certain people walkef righteously before God. Notably Abel, Enoch and of course Abraham and Moses walked in the way that pleased God. In fact, Abraham showed that He Believed God and it was accounted to Him as Righteousness. Genesis 15:6 So why was the Law given?
2. What then is Grace and why was it given?
3. Does Law eliminate Grace? And has Grace eliminated Law?
1. The Law of Moses, as God made clear, was given by Him as the Constitution to the Nation of Israel, a Nation He constituted in the Land of Israel of the people of Israel, the people whom He chose to establish His special nation —His Kingdom of Priests. - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20 and Exodus 19 vs 1 - 6. undecided
2. Grace is a term that refers to eternal life. A little-known fact to many religious folks out there is that the Law of Moses promised eternal life as a reward to those in the land of Israel who lived and died in righteousness - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20. Yes, grace was offered by the Law but only to the righteous. All others who died in their sins were condemned to perish in the grave, death. undecided
3. Wrong and Wrong! undecided

I don't involve in those...
I only follow my creator and his laws, I don't add to it and I don't substrate from it... baptism whether with water or any spirit was assimilated from Mithraism...
When I turned to God, I realised who I am and my duty on earth..I don't complicate things..

Oh yes that is what it is save that God became silenter and completely quiet that He did not Speak again because He finally Speaks one last time and explains everything to us which He had Said before but men did not listen.

Which is why there is no other Bible after Revelation.
