Evangelion 1.1 : You are not Alone....10/10


This is a retelling of the original Neon Genesis Evengelion series. It captures the events of the first 6 episodes of Neon Genesis Evengelion with deviations

It captures the character relationships of the original series well. You can already feel bad for Shinji and Rei. Shinji is craving for some attention and love from his father and is willing to even risk his life for it by piloting the Evas even when he ordinarily hates piloting

Also the more modern graphics makes the fights with the Angels more insane.

I can't wait to start Evangelion 2.2 and 3.3. I hope they're equally as good

I love the biblical allusion used in Evangelion...
And the design of the Second Angle Lilith

The visuals are also spectacular...

attack on titan has great songs no doubt, even as good as Naruto and Bleach but they beat it by sheer number...mostly because they are far longer shows


Naruto has so many top songs that are unreleased that were used only once or twice throughout the series and are hard to find...e.g Lost Friend (kimimaro's ost)

Bleach has so many diverse songs using music genres from different regions... English, German, Spanish, etc

Pure cruise of a TV series

2022 is over, but it was probably my best year for TV shows. Incredibly varied than what I'd normally watch. Hoping to build on that this year. Seems I watched almost the same amount of TV shows as I watched movies.

Evangelion 2.22: You can (not) Advance... 9/10


Midway in the movie was a bit boring...unlike the first movie...
Also the movie barely explored the new character introduced that wasn't in the original series

Plus the emotional impact of Shinji quitting and later returning was not as impactful as the original series...

But the story is still solid. The hints and foreshadowing are there
The movie properly explores the relationship between Shinji and his father

They also did Justice to the character of Asuka

Anyhow you like watch it. It would still make sense. That'd the beauty of it. I watched it as it was lined up for me and I got the gist.

Interestingly I watched the end in the middle. Lol. After the final episode I realised I had seen the end before now. That was trippy.

Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo...I cannot rate this because I struggled hard to even understand wtf was going on

Too damn complex


Set 14 years after the 2nd movie. This movie completely deviates from everything in the series. There is barely much explanation for events and even when explained I struggled to piece things together

While I was able to understand some basics...there was still a lot I was lost about


Maybe the 4th movie will explain more

Well i think Rip and Beth are the same people with the same personality and that's why they deserves each other.
You know Rip is very very hot tempered especially when it comes to Beth and Beth too is very very hot tempered too especially when it comes to Rip.
They both have been in love right from a very young age, beth has never known any other man in her life apart from rip and so the same goes for Rip.

Rip is loyal to Beth and her dad.
Beth is loyal to Rip and her dad.
So i will say they both perfectly deserves each and rip isn't suffering abuse at all, because he knows beth will go to hell and back for him which no woman at there can do for him and yes beth can be a bitttch sometimes but one thing you can't take from her is that she will die and take a bullet for those she loves and that's one of the things that Rip admires about her.

Remember!! The devil you know, is better than the Angel you don't know.

It's meant to be watched in any order you prefer as long as you watch "White" last.

"White" is the heist episode.

You've got to be clairvoyant to know it won't get renewed.

When you think the series couldn't get any more ridiculous, season 3 is batshit crazy.... Just five episodes in and already laughing like a mad man

I guessed with that hype, that's why they gave the riens to the creators to produce that same magic, unfortunately the reviews were too mixed to move further with the project, Netflix has been bleeding financially recently so they are carefully make making sound financial decisions now.

Anyways, I have already copped it based on the rep of the creators off the hype of "Dark", so i might as well just see it.

Nah...this is Netflix just being their usual shitty decision making self.
Netflix has, and will, cancel any show that is good enough to warrant a larger budget but isn’t popular enough to set the world on fire.
They cancel good stuff and crank out garbage.
I mean look at what they did to "American Vandal."
Meanwhile shows like "Emily in Paris" are on their 3rd season.
It's getting to a point where it's wiser to wait till a Netflix show has a season 2 or 3 before picking it up.

I'm tempted to watch 1899 all the same, but I don't like watching something that doesn't have viable conclusion.
