haaa 100kg per box. Hope you are ready to spend coz this kind of goods I doubt if their regular buses can haul them. This is trailer standard unless they hate their motor shocks.

Easy peasy for luxurious buses. That's avg weight of 4-5 able bodied men grin

Pillars/columns are very important no matter the blocks size especially when the building will be carrying parapet. Also consider that blocks nowadays are of poor quality.

but that's equivalent to 2bags of cement per box (100kg). Though cement density is higher but I'm sure they will still charge him more.

HDF door is good and durable provided the normal HDF boards are used and not block HDF boards.
Call Maplewood Furniture for more enquiry.

Just started using mine so I am in no position to advice.

As far as I am concerned, so long as you keep water away you will be fine.

The other issue is the quality of the finishing, over which you have zero control. That is in the hands of whoever you hired.

Sorry to ask an off topic question here. Please I have some LiFePO4 Solar Batteries with a friend in Lekki, beside VGC which I need to pickup from Lekki and transport to Abuja. I would assume Haulage will be the cheapest option to send to Abuja but getting it picked up from Lekki to the Haulage or transport company at an affordable rate is what I need help with. Does anyone know or have info on who can help get it done at reasonably rate. It's 4 Boxes and each box weighs about 100KG.

100kg is the weight of 2 bags of rice. So, they are about the weight of about 8 bags of rice.
Dyna truck would be you best option. There are many of them for hire around akpagbon about 15-20 mins to Lekki.

Life is not supposed to be this complicated. At Home Depot or Uhal, you just pay about $19 and drive away with their truck for a period of time, enough for you to do the trip. All you need is to have a valid drivers license.

Its not governments. These are private businesses. The thing is, doing such business in Nigeria, the challenges would include

The provider not maintaining the trucks leading to frequent breakdowns on the road
Customer using fake ID to run away with the vehicle
Customer taking the vehicle and swiping the parts with damaged ones
Customer not returning vehicles on time
Customer tampering with millage to avoid additional charges
Customer not having valid address
Customer overloading the truck
Insurance not doing their part

yes sir, it's true, but what I understand is dat, if this is under government sectors it will work, for instance if Lagos government want to include dat, they know the roles and regulations to consider, and the punishment for those dat will not complie to it,

Architects shud be more creative naah, and try to put beauty into flat/hidden roofs house designs.....
The design in your pic is too simple and uninpiring ., Most flat roof builds, especially bungalows i see toe this uninspiring path
No disrespect meant.

The 2 pics i attached below are lovely & inspiring, architects shud do more inspiring

Good evening boss.
Here is the ground floor pla of the project I am currently embarking on. Although it's still at foundation level.
But before I proceed further and release more funds, what adjustment do you suggest that I can make to make it more beautiful.

Secondly I noticed that the remaining two rooms are not ensuite, even though I was told that all the rooms are ensuite.
Please I am currently far away from the location of the project.

All what you've just said is, in a country with weak institutions and non supporting infrastructure, simple tasks and transactions would always be complicated. So it is government. The government should be alive to its responsibilities.

I mean, look at the saga with doors in Nigeria. MDF door, HDF door, China door, American door, Turkish door. For goodness sake, it is just simply ordinary door in any well managed country. But in Nigeria, it is rocket science to have the right kind of door solution. A country with weak institutions, infrastructure and really poorly and badly managed.

While we're discussing the economic and future usage of a duplex after the kids must have gone, this man went all out in Nnewi.

At some point building this edifice,it was rumoured that he wanted to demolish it for not being up to his standard

You are right, government has a role in creating the right environment for business to thrive.

But when you consider that an agency like WAI (war against indiscipline) had to be created to make people”s follow simple rules and civil etiquettes, then something is amiss with their behavior.

see eh, when it comes to people obeying simple rules and regulations, you require very strong institution.

Wonder why a Chinese man will come to Nigeria and start disobeying civil rules? That's because under normal circumstances, humans love being wild and animalistic. Unless there are severe consequences for breaking the law, they will be broken at will. Same Nigerians will touch down at JFK airport and immediately wait in line and not want to cut in.

It's not Nigerians, it's the Nigeria institution and government being lousy

There was once an agency called WAIC(War against indiscipline and corruption). Not sure the the agency still exist. Can things work in this country of ours without bribing. Ordinary prepaid meter , international passport , drivers license can't be issue without bribing people or officials . God help us

I fixed the doors before tiling.

I then had to take them down for tiling.

Then I had to resize them before reinstallation after tiling.

Quite a process, quite a learning process as well.

Hdf doors are okay, if it's pure hdf, if the door has not been compromised by using mdf instead hdf.

Okay Sir... Buying already made or buying the materials and giving to an installer to install, which is advisable?

Let me give you just 2 examples of what happened the last time was I was there.
I went to that Mr Biggs at Maryland by Anthony to buy ice cream. There were 4-5 of us in the queue. I was next. From nowhere, this big man just walked straight to the counter with total disregard to us. I said never, not my turn. You could see the shock on peoples faces. Like, who gave me the gut to challenge a “big man.”
The other one is the condition of toilets at the Airport. People would go in there and do their thing anyhow. Everywhere was dirty.
Now tell me, in these situations, what role does the government have in guiding against them?

the big man was able to do it because he cut the line at traffic while coming there. Let's say he did something similar and he was held to order and punished,he wouldn't want such embarrassment at Mr Biggs.

Same goes for the toilet thing. Strong institution is what Nigeria needs
