Commonsense is to wash your loofahs and sponges after each bath. The loofah/sponge isn't the problem. The problem lies with the users who don't clean them after each use. What you have here compares to asking folks to throw away their towels or their underwear because towels and underwear can also serve as a breeding ground for harmful bacteria.

Bathing with sponge is like brushing ur teeth without toothbrush, the skin secretes a lot of oil, salt and sweat with needs to be thoroughly washed with soup and sponge to get rid of them .
