I lost close to 4k after the card was rejected on AliExpress. I've to withdraw my money back to naira. Their conversion rate is very high for naira to dollar but low from dollar to naira

This is crazy. $10 for 9,000 is ridiculous. That is 900/$.

The provider of the $ card gets a percentage or minimum amount for every outbound $, that's probably why you can't withdraw the total. Rather than converting, you may/should have gone for buying good(s) of $9, that way, you won't lose the 2300.

I bought my dollars when SpendWise was at rate of 675 - 690 or so.

I renegotiated my $10 deal with a seller to $9, I ordered and cleared my Naira balance from my account.

most of the time these issues are from aliexpress not even the card providers, instead of withdrawaing you would have used the balance to make a purchase, i still use chipper cash some times but due to their rate and limit i prefer to use kudiwave , many people use kudiwave which works fine on aliexpress but sometimes aliexpress dey mad, you just have to contact aliexpress and you are good, so far kudiwave and chipper still the best .

Bruh, if you can't access a dollar card from the bank now,
Use Gotoq
They offer a free debit card and it's fundable via binance pay. So your withdrawal and deposit can be done from binance pay that's integrated with their system.
It also offers an option to fund your card via crypto wallets and all.

Much easier and would save you the stress. Without KYC, you've got a limit of $250 and that can be increased after you opt for KYC on their platform.

So far, Gotok n chippercash dollar card seem to be the only debit cards that have worked around me so you can check either out.


Modified: I'm seeing somewhere that cards with a US address gets rejected on AliExpress so I'd say Gotoq may not be an option. Their virtual cards come with billing address that specifies Claymont, Delaware. I did use them for making a payment on Contabo few days ago.

Best bet would be getting a Dom account and have a card issued. This govt are shutting every door that enables us pay via the normal rates
