According to the US Department of State, the top ten countries sending immigrants to the US are countries such as Venezuela, Haiti, Nigeria, Philippines, Jamaica, Colombia, Vietnam, India, Mexico, Bangladesh, Brazil, etc. And most of these countries alongside Nigeria are not eligible for the visa lottery program.

To be eligible for the visa lottery, your country must not have sent up to 50,000 immigrants to the US in the preceding five years. It is mostly third-world countries that filled those gaps (the countries listed above), and not those from reasonable countries.

In order words, the people migrating to America and seeing it as their heaven are third-worlders, not Europeans, Australians, and people from good countries. It's like a girl (the US in this case) feeling fly because all the touts in the neighborhoods like her, meanwhile, the high-value men see her as trash.

So, my dear, it's okay to love the US, feel free to exercise such rights, but don't play on our intelligence. The US ain't shit. Visit Europe first, then visit America, and you will never want to be in the US again. Maybe you will understand why Trump wanted to scrap the visa lottery back then and mourn the fact that Norwegians and co are not the immigrants migrating to the US, but third worlders, of which he infamously called their countries sheetholes (btw, may God punish Trump).

The fact is that there are still more Europeans moving to the states and becoming Americans, vs Americans moving to Europe and becoming Europeans. So we have immigrants from all over the world moving to the states, and yes most people trying to come in are from poor countries, just like most people moving to Europe are from poor countries.

I lived in Europe for years and I know what I'm talking about. The US is not perfect, and not the best in everything. But the immigration numbers speak for themselves.

And the immigrants in the USA also happen to make it to the top more frequently than those in Europe. Many Nigerians that move to Europe, end up moving to the US after getting their European papers. There's a good reason why.
