The difference between 'Oyinbo' wife (OW) and Nigeria wife (NW) is that:

1. NW: Will tolerate all your bullshits and still keep a smiling face.

OW: Will point a gun direct at you when you commit a little blunder.

2. NW: Will cook, serve the food and still do the dishes afterwards.

OW: But you see our Oyinbo Wife counterparts, ehen? Either she cooks and you do the dishes after eating, or you cook and she cleans up afterwards. The husband doesn't regard his wife as a slave or a beast of burden.

3. NW: Does all the house chores in most cases, while the husband will be feeling fly.

OW: Dem no born their husbands well to sit down, fold his hands and allow his wife carry out all the domestic chores. Everything the wife does to keep the family in order, the husband do double. Washing, cooking, cleaning, running errands, buying groceries, baby-sitting, etc

4. NW: If for any reason you divorce her, society has no unwritten law that you'll pay her alimony.

OW: Half of your possession goes to her just by saying you no do again. Then after court ruling nko, Terms and Conditions for the divorce, in favour of her, will make you realize that khaki no be leather.

5. NW: Aha, very patient kind of women, tolerating their promiscuous husband at the detriment of their health and peace of mind.

OW: Will throw you out of the house immediately and sue for divorce.

In our households they all differ. But in majority the woman does most the house chores n cooking. The man usually nows the lawns take out the trash at. However alot of couples help each other do all of everything. Cos u love each other. But for the most part the woman does the cooking n dishes n house cleaning the laundry etc she does the food shopping the husband may drive her if she dont drive. But yeah most women i know take care of the house as a woman should n the man does the outside like mow the lawns etc.
If we marry a man it's cos we love them. Some couples work some onlt one works one stays home everyones family dynamic is diff but generally speaking most households are like i explained. I live in australia so can't speak for American or Europeans. But is what it's like here. As for divorce i never ben married so can't say but I've known couples who've split up n they divide their properties n keep whats theirs. Men and women will pay child support to whichever parent has full time care of the child. It's all done fairly.
Yes u do get the types if u argue shel call police but that's usually if the man is voilent or if the woman is a petty drama loving bitchhh. But for most women we do not call police on our man over anything even voilence. Most women if they argue with they man they just don't speak for days or act grumpy for days til is sorted or theyl go stay at their families place or similar. We don't just divorce over any little thing. Yes most of dont tolerate cheating and its because we love you. Usually if one party cheats the other gives u second chance n if it keeps up the other will usually leave. We aren't what you generalize us to be. We do not pull guns on our man wtf. Not saying no ones ever done it but I've never known anyone to do such. The most wel do if we mad is slam a door n not speak to you for days. Sum will tell n argue others wont. We all diff like i said but for most women we are similar in our ways. If u choose a decent woman who's loyal n she loves you she will move heaven n earth for you. If she loves you she will cook 4 u clean ur clothes make a beautiful home n work hard to help provide for u both. That's what ur average decent girl here wants. Love n family n loyalty. If u loyal n show her affection shel be ur ride or die for life

Even if a husband is promiscuous, the society believes that men are polygamous in nature, and can actually handle more than a woman at a time. So it's no big deal, per se. Whereas such behaviour is strongly frowned out across our continent. Ok imagine getting married to the supposedly love of your life, only to find out after many years of marriage that he actually has a love child outside wedlock. A child that might be slightly younger than your own child. Here, we're expected to tolerate such a man.

My comment was just to buttress the fact that there are lots of things an African wife condones in marriage that wives across our continent cannot condone.
