Honest Associations

I recently watched a video, and it dawned on me the importance of surrounding yourself with people that would tell you the truth. In the video, a lady was playing a game blindfolded and everyone was cheering her up and telling her she was doing well, despite the fact that she wasn't achieving anything.

I learnt a lesson from that video.
There are friends who constantly cheer you up and hail you. While this is important to keep one's self full of positivity and motivation. it is also important to have friends who can be honest with you and criticize you when you are not doing well.

I know some friends, even after making a poor presentation, They'll say, Bro, that was a wonderful presentation. In fact, it was an excellent delivery from start to finish. Meanwhile, they know it was not a good one. Some will even say, Boss, I want to learn from you. Some of you are reading this post, and you know yourself. . It seems "whining" is the new deal.

Summarily balance is the key, surround yourself with people who motivate and cheer you up and also have people around you who are honest enough to tell you the truth when you have not performed up to requirements.

Some people say the truth is sweet. Otitodun . Is the truth really sweet? That's a story for another day.

Well, it takes years to find honest associations... fiances, spouses, friends, family, etc MANY TIMES may fail at the sensitivity of the honesty that is required of them... being honest is not the same as being truthful... but it is rare.... there is no whatsapp group that has totally honest people. If you find few honest people.... don't be the dishonest one amongst them. It is a forever discipline... we will keep at it till the end.
