Wow! This is great. I am just hearing of this tribe today. In Taraba,I only know of the Jukun tribe. However, I still love the Yoruba tribe among every other in Naija. Share for Yoruba, like for other tribes

Nigeria is really vast...this is the first time in my life I'm hearing Kuteb. If not for insecurity plaguing this country, Nigeria as a country would make a very good tourist site.

Imagine going to taraba or some other remote tribe in one of the northern States, take pics, eat their local dish and come back to your base.

But the fear of kidnappers, bandits, Boko Haram...etc, wouldn't make you think about it.

If you have been listening to Peter Obi in the past months, you would be have had idea of what the state has in terms of resources. That state alone including Benue can feed the entire country without hassle. Kuteb, Jukun, Pansun and others are unique tribes in Taraba state. They are very intelligent people. I taught in their schools and those pupils were wonderful. There is a place called Gembu where you can grow tea in large quantity. That place is the coolest place in Nigeria. There is also a local government called Krumi where the Land doesn't need fertilizer for farming. Taraba is hot and unsafe now. They usually have communal crisis against between Kuteb and Jukun most times. Herdsmen killings is quite endemic in that region. Our leaders have failed us. People are suffering in spite of abundance of resources they are blessed with. Poverty in that you is way too high. May God bless Nigeria.

You're correct. Takum is like a centre of commerce for those local government like Ussa, Songs etc. I served in Takum. The pupils I taught were very intelligent. The people too are more educated than I envisaged.

yes. They are well-read. I met à guy there back tnen in 2007 who had a Times magazine subscription and could convincely discuss international affairs. He told me that they had early exposire to éducation, thanks to the white Catholics who came there.
