HER BIRTHDAY
It's your birthday, my sweet beloved,
Today you turn twenty-seven,
Your life is full of joy and love,
Your friends and family too,

But what I want to say to you,
Is that, on this special day,
Though you may be getting older,
You'll still be looking great!

Your beauty shines like a beacon,
Your wit is sharp and keen,
Your presence lights up a room,
You always know what to say,

So Happy Birthday to my darling,
My love, my best friend,
I can't wait to celebrate with you,
Your birthday, again and again!

HEARTBREAK

My heart is broken, my soul is torn,
I'm left here with nothing but pain and scorn.
The love that was once so beautiful and pure
Has now left me feeling so insecure.

My heart is aching, my eyes are red,
I'm struggling to keep my tears unshed.
The person I thought I could trust
Has left me feeling so full of rust.

My heart is numb, my spirit low,
I'm struggling to find a place to go.
The person I thought was my one and only
Has now left me feeling so lonesome and lonely.

My heart is shattered, my dreams are gone,
I'm left here alone and forlorn.
The love that I had so deeply held
Has now been replaced with emptiness and dread.

REGRETS


Regrets, like a ghost, linger long
Nagging at us from the wrongs we've done
We can't change the past, no matter how hard we try
So many memories, filled with a sigh

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow and pain
For the wrong choices we've made again and again
We close our eyes and clench our fists
Hoping to forget the things we've missed

But regret is a persistent guest
It sticks with us, no matter how we try to rest
We can only try to learn and grow
From the mistakes we've made, long ago

Though we can't undo the things we've done
We can go forth, and make new ones
Living a life of lessons learned
And hope for a better future, in return.

The day when you were born,
A day of celebration,

We've shared so many memories,
We've laughed and we've cried,

I am not the only man you've dated, I'm even not the one you gave your virginity to.

I'm neither the richest, the handsomest, nor classiest you've been with.

You told me that you loved me, a declaration that I desperately wanted to be true. But my heart weeps that your love comes without
"the gift of love".

Your love comes with emotional baggage, a reckless sexual history, and a huge list of alphas I'll forever be compared with.

I'm insecure, though it may seem irrational to you, but it is what it is. I should feel like a hero since I acted like one to you, but I feel down, that I'll never measure up to the corruption of your past.

I provided, protected and lead. I spent my energy out there to guarantee a sweet life for us. I am your soldier, your shoulder and your Superman. But my sophistications are meaningless in the tsunami of brethren you compare me with.

I married you under the sanctity of religion, which demands submission and sexual purity from you. A gift you didn't gave to me.

And in the seeming face of this lack, I still suffer the consequences of your past, a past that is seen as "experience" by you, but to me, a trauma.

I feel little when when you unintentionally make statements that compares me to other men, and I wonder why you didn't end up with them.

I feel insecure to know that you've been with men I didn't measure up to, and even worse, you feel genuinely dissatisfied that I can't replicate those experiences.

But life would have been easy for us if you didn't corrupt yourself beforehand. There would be no references that will be a basis for comparison.

Your past have made you unhappy, made me feel unappreciated, and insecure in my masculinity. And I ask, what's the gift that comes with your love?

As an expression of my love, my duty to you are non-negotiable. But your duty to me depends on your mood.

Even if we argue, you're assured of a nice place to sleep, good food and good life, a duty from me that never fluctuates. But intimacy, a core need for me has been had lastly in Easter.

I go out there into the world and fought hard to be a good husband, but coming back home, feels like the outside world part two.

It's sad that you are not aware of how your past have shaped you badly. How it made you combative, argumentative, and disagreeable.

How it has made you lack appreciation for the things I do for you, since you've always had better from men who didn't consider you worthy enough to wife up.

How it has made you so egoistic, lack self reflections, and approach relationship with an hierarchical mindset, where you must be served, instead of corporation.

You've made me a slave even if you denied being a slave master. Because if I have the responsibility of your sustenance, without the authority, then it's servitude.

And if you enjoy the privilege of my care, then have the authority of how things should be done, but without the responsibility, then it's slavery for me.

I hope the day comes when you can wake up from your subjective way of seeing the world, and realise that there is "your truth", and "the truth".

I hope the day comes when I'll be assured that your educational experiences made you more established in your femininity, not turn you into a masculine fighter who always have to dominate.

I hope the day comes when you'll see that submission is where your strength lies, and that you'll never go far trying to win, fight and achieve things via malice.

And most importantly, I hope you realise that my calmness is not weakness, but strength. That my presence may not last long, if you refuse to sit up.
