Why the stress on your part. Because it is necklace, do you where it always. Because it is wrist watch do you where it on your wrist always. An object must be kept somewhere when not in use and when you choose to put it in use always, is also good
common sense is not ...

Which phone actually means showoff?

Cos I don't know any. iPhones are not even cost. It's just that many have a cheap mentality and misplaced priorities.

How much is a regular iPhone? Let's say iPhone 8? iPhone 8 could be gotten for ₦70k now. Even iPhone 11 is about ₦150k and the Pro about ₦200k in black market. And many can afford it.

So what's the big deal in iPhones when an iPhone 11 pro max still have the camera design of the 14? Or when you can convert your iPhone X to the 14 camera lens? Na you dey reason say only iPhone 14 na iPhone because you allowed yourself be oppressed by people who don't even know you.

Still on still, if you can't afford the affordable iPhones, Tecno, Itel, and ,Infinix are still phone brands. Why you dey underrate yourself?

Everything no bi oppression. You, you get sense? You get esteem? You dey contended?

If I am with a backpack, I put my phone in it while on standby mode. But if I need it for sth, it's on my hand. Without a backpack, it's always in my pocket while walking, driving...but on my hand in public transport.

Most times too, it's on my hands. I have a right to choose not to be robbed off sth in my pockets since phones are fond of coming out from your pocket to breath.

Pickpockets must lose their jobs too!

Me, I never see person wey fit oppress me sha. My okrika jeans is ok for me even if I see your Fendi.

In Lagos, you can't keep your phones in your pocket or purses unless they are in front of you where you constantly see them

Another thing, there's an unconfirmed report that it isn't advisable for a male to have phones on in their pockets because it's close to their reproductive organs and the radiations from the phones could cause damage, we don't know how true this is.

Everywhere you go, people hold their phones in their hands even when they have absolutely no need for it and the phones would be safer being in their pockets or bags?

Is it some kinda show-off? Cause I could swear this act is more common amongst iPhone users. Are they trying to make a statement? “Oh see the phone I use? I’m not doing too bad”

One thing I’ve noticed is that you’ll hardly find people with broken-screen phones or an entry-level smartphone holding them in their hands this way.

I overheard a Bet9ja boy narrating to his coworker how the respect he gets from folks in his neighborhood has skyrocketed because he now uses an iPhone 13.

Is it a Nigerian thing? Or na so dem dey do world over?

Its not practical to put phones in the pocket always. Most phones are too big

No matter how deep your pockets are, when using a public bus in Lagos you're safer with your phone in your hands.

1. Phone radiation cooks the testicles of men.

2. Pick pockets nowadays use jazz, they touch your pocket & your phone disappears.

Don't try it here in Kano especially Bata for no reason.

Definitely nothing "fitted" on me. I prefer comfortable clothes. Comfort is far more important to me than appearance.

Guys either put their phones in the left trouser pocket - Wallet in right trouser pocket.
Women will put their phones in either their handbag or back pocket in tight fitting jeans .

Its only in 9ja people have 2 phones. Carry both.

Is not adviceable,
-Some times when you are working the sweat and steam that come out from your body can cause real damage to the phone
-some one can get access to your pocket and streal the phone without you knowing. (Especially in a busy area)
-remember your phone is an radio active device..

I still put my phone in my pocket with my earpiece connected to it listening to the radio as I transit

tuzle:
I can't forget the day I kept my phone in my pocket while in a bus. They removed the phone from my pocket, I noticed immediately I got down but the bus zoomed off. Since then it is safer in my hand than in my pocket. It is only if I am with a bag then I can put it inside since I usually go to work with a back bag.

It's like trademark for Nigerians especially in Lagos.

I was at a restaurant the other day and all the tables had phones littered on them. I wondered how people managed to have their phones on the same table with their foods. I'm not talking about one phone, I'm talking about one person having three phones. So imagine four persons in a table each with three phones.

Why do many Nigerians even have two to three mobile phones? I see it as burden. cheesy

Dude, it's for convenience, and it's neither a Nigerian thing not an iPhone thing. Stop let your insecurities make you read meaning into everything.
