What are you talking physical contact? Did you see physical contact in the point listed? Read them again and show me the one you disagree with. Forget VAR talk, they all knew he was off. It was a corrupt call.

Is he in the way of an opponent - Yes, Akanji and Ederson
Is he interfering with the movement of the player towards the ball - Yes, Akanji and Ederson
Is he impacting the ability of the opponent to play or challenge for the ball - Yes, Akanji and Ederson

If he had not run with the ball literally under his feet for 15-20 yards, either one of Akanji or Eddie would have cleared it.

Tell me which one you disagree with. If you can't, you are arguing against the truth.
All these would have and could have doesn't prove anything as they are conditional scenarios, the point is Rashford did not hold Akanji's leg or Walker's leg to prevent them from defending the ball

Na wa for you people and this one shot on target talk. Watch the game and even the commentators said it. Manchester city were far better. You guys were literally caged in your post because you know you were playing a side better than you.

One shot on target is because your players spent most of their time close to their post, not that you were playing better.

As I said, enjoy the win but don't try bending the truth.
you won’t accept that because you are blinded by sentiment

You had all the passes and possession with one shot on target while united had lesser of the ball with better scoring opportunities. If rashy took his chances in the first half atleast we would hv been 2 goals up coming to the 2nd half

If truly u sabi football, watched and analyzed the game you should know that ten hag had pep on his hands by blocking Channels and nullifying Kevin which made haaland ordinary today

If any coach can nullify Kevin, city and haaland will be useless and that was what Eric did perfectly well with Fred

Blocking with channels. You guys were just defending in numbers. Even Wigan can do that. Nothing tactical. It was a defensive set up because you were up against a better side. You were out played all through the game. Anyone that sits deep can nullify anyone.

Interference is about preventing would have. You don't need to hold someone's leg to interfere with play. Another off point. The point is simple. Rashford interfered with play when once he chased the ball while in an offside position. Very simple.

There was a VAR review and there was no clear and obvious interference

Which makes it a bloody lie. As soon as Rashford chased the ball, he was interfering with play.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 8:04pm On Jan 14, 2023
This is another aspect to this that is not being talked about.

We knew immediately that Rashford was obviously offside by virtue of watching on TV but Akanji, Walker, and Ederson didn’t know for sure. Which means everything they did whilst play continued had to be based on the assumption he was onside, because if he was, and the went in for a challenge based on the way Rashford was shielding the ball, they could give away a penalty and/or be sent off.

Rodri chased this ball too while in an offside position leading to a goal

Now people want to tell us that this Rashford is not interfering with play. Amazing.

As soon as the Aston Villa player controlled the ball, you can not blow offside. If Rodri got the ball before the Aston Villa player, then offside. But the Aston Villa player got possesion of the ball and lost it. At this point, the game continues.

Finito.

Are defenders and goalkeepers suppose to know what the opposition team is doing? What then is the purpose of football competitions.
It's like Joe Hart blaming Pirlo for the panenka penalty at Euro 2012

In this case, at the time Fernandes touched the balled Rashford was not in an offside position

Totally off point. The point made is very simple. Rashford interfered with the actions of play from an offside position. Nothing you posted there countered the point.

What are you saying?

Rashford was in an offside position when the pass was played to him. It seems you do not even know what an offside call is because your point above is miles away from it.

It's quite simple. Had Rashford not been there does Fernandez go on to score.

Clearly not, therefore Rashford is instrumental in the creation of the goal and as he was offside then the goal should be disallowed.

When the pass was played, Rashford was in an offside position. The truth is that you do not even know what an offside call is.

Whether the pass was to Rashford or not, he was in an offside position when the pass was made and he went after the ball, thus he was interfering with play.

So now, read the bolded and tell me which one you disagree with.

That is your way of defining it, it was a misplaced pass that Fernandes took advantage of and scored while Man City defenders were lazy to track to ball

Like seriously. Look at Mings and look at Rodri, how is Rodri interfering with a man in full control of the ball. As soon as Mings got the ball, Rodri is no more offside.

As I said, you do not understand offside rules.

At this point quit arguing and learn. Anything you don't understand, let me know and I will explain.

As soon as Fernandes hit the ball, Rushford was not offside nor did he interfere with any players

Whether misplaced or not, whether City players were lazy or not, as soon as Rashford went after the point, he interfered with play.

Note the bolded. What you are talking about is out of context of the point. The point is Rashford, not City defenders or Bruno Fernandes.
